Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

LBJ will likely release a statement. Actually, his agent will release a statement in a couples hrs saying LBJ feels so "humbled" by all the interest blah blah. We will take time to make the decision that is best for LBJ and his family.

Absolutely.

:chuckles:

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Maybe but if he was leaving I would still rather see him go to Chicago than NY. ESPN would be forcefeedng LeBron in the Big Apple 24/7. You wouldn't want to turn on the TV.

Plus, I feel like NY tanked the last couple years under the presumption they would get LBJ. If he went there it would seem like this was all pre-arranged to put him in the biggest media market. At least Chicago played hard and tried the last few years but was hit with injuries.

Do you not see the irony in your post? The Cavaliers tanked to get LeBron in the first place. I think we all know that. Tanking wasn't going to get LeBron to NY or anywhere else. It got them cap room & a presentation in front of him, but that's about it.

Losing LeBron would hurt immensely, but losing him to a division rival, who we would have to compete with for the next 10 years, is like pouring salt in an open wound.

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Not sure about that chief.
By many people's account, the Bulls were the favorites. They have Rose & Noah and the advantage of being LeBron's favorite team growing up. Plus, they got the advantage of going last, which ticks me off the more I think about it.

The Bulls have been the favorites, the Nets have been the favorites, the Knicks were front-runners, Miami was a top choice...

Every report in these instances has also said one thing, and it was consistent throughout, everyone's source was saying the same thing "it would be really hard for LeBron to leave Cleveland" or "Cleveland is still right there too".

Make no mistake, LeBron said we had an edge, every report has us as front-runner or co-front-runner...the biggest voice against us, or seemingly at least, in Wes Wesley has kind of been shoved into obscurity after he opened his mouth a little too much in too many different directions.

I'm feeling really good right now about LeBron staying. Things are looking good.

All tanking did was get the Cavs a 25% chance in the lottery. I'll be the Knicks thought their odds were better than 1 in 4.

I'd rather have Lebron not say anything unlike Wade who is messing with the media left and right.

Well, a newbie journalist one year removed from graduation whom I've never heard of..

If there was supposed to be a statement, Windy or K.C. Johnson would have reported it, hell, K.C. even re-tweeted almost every Christopher Hine, but NOT the one about LeBron being expected to make a statement.

Seems like a load of unsubstantiated bullshit to me.

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

LeBron going to Chicago would hurt more than 'The Drive,' more than 'The Fumble,' and more than 'The Shot.' A division rival, like Chicago, coming into our town and taking our superstar would be 'The Steal.'

I think 'the sellout' would be more appropriate in this case.

This is the last thing I'm saying to you and then I'm done.

The reason I'm telling you how to post without creating problems is because you made a post asking why everyone hates you. I'm answering your question by telling you one reason is because you post statements, not opinions, about things that are basically made up - like Chris Paul or Bosh in the meeting. You asked. I responded.

With the way the media has been lately I wouldn't be surprised if that Bulls reporter tweeted about a meeting to cause chaos or he totally misunderstood the rally. Idk just my thoughts.

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Interesting. Seems like LeBron would be either really intrigued or really put off. Kind of a gamble with that one.

On a side note, I still can't get over the fact that LeBron would seriously consider going to a team with another GM named Paxson. This has been bothering me all day long.

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Ok kids, enough is enough. A lot of people are coming here looking for info and updates. The last thing they want to do is read through the garbage that has been getting posted in the last couple hours. STOP the attacks on each other and stay on topic...it's very simple. If you can't, you be will be going on a vacation from RCF.
LAST WARNING.

Thanks,
Mod Max

Re: LeBron Free Agency (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Well this sucks

The Raptors are losing interest in agreeing to a sign-and-trade deal with Chris Bosh, according to a source.

Bosh could make $125.5 million over six years if he re-signed with the Raptors and they moved him elsewhere; he could make $96.1 million over five years by signing outright with another team.

The difference in the first five years of the deal would amount to $4 million.

The Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks are believed to have submitted trade proposals for Bosh to the Raptors, and apparently none has impressed Toronto.

Bosh's use of social media has also upset the Raptors, according to the source.
