2020 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Northwestern already blowing it. Before last night, I'd have been rooting for them to win this game so OSU could get a better win on their resume. But, with this fucked up situation the Big Ten has created, I have to root against them now. #ThanksBig10

Loving MSU this season. First win was embarrassing Harbaugh and now this to help our playoff hopes.

I think OSU is fine as long as they don’t lose. Neither Cincy or BYU have beaten a power 5 opponent. Oregon was the Pac 12s only hope. Northwestern just choked away their chance as the only other viable Big 10 team. Putting in 2 SEC and ACC teams opens the door for playing a 2nd or even 3rd match up we’ve already seen this year. Root for Bama to keep rolling over the SEC and OSU should be a virtual lock.

Yea NW losing was something I was rooting for. Which I hate to do because I actually like NW.

At this point, OSU needs to cheer for Indiana and Northwestern to win out. If OSU can‘t qualify for the Big 10 title game, I don’t think they have a chance to get into the playoffs unless Indiana proves themselves to be a good team and the Big 10 looks like a good conference in the end.

I feel like a Big 10 Title game with a 6-2 Indiana vs a 6-2 Iowa or Northwestern wouldn’t look that great to the committee.

If Indiana loses another game or two and drops out of the top 20, I think it certainly raises a lot of doubts in the committees mind as to whether or not you can include a 6-0 OSU team.

As an Indiana fan I’d love to see us in the Big 10 championship game, but I don’t think you guys have much to worry about. I can’t see the Big 10 not finding a way to get OSU into the championship game, and even if they don’t, I think you’re a lock for the playoff assuming you don’t lose any games.

I really think only Indiana matters, as Northwestern just made themselves irrelevant. If Indiana wins out we will be seen as the B1G champs by the transitive property. Of course that’s moot if we manage to play both of our remaining games.

Edit: On second thought, Indiana may be moot too depending on whether Penix is still okay to play.

Penix out for the season.

The Big Ten Championship is going to be a laughingstock if OSU isn't in it.

Could you imagine? All that money FOX pays is really for those 2 games...

Selection show tonight should be interesting given OSU is coming off another cancellation...

The Big Ten Presidents wanted to cancel the whole damn season I do not think Fox Execs are gonna push them around on this.
