He was running gingerly the entire night and couldn't contest a soul on defense. He gave it a gutty effort but that wasn't the same dude splitting double teams and jumping over everyone the first two games.

Stephen A said Donovan Mitchell is the best player in the history of the Jazz franchise.

Yea that made no sense.
Karl Malone won league MVP. He and Stockton went to the Finals in back to back years.
There's a good chance Donovan Mitchell never steps foot on thecourt in an NBA Finals game.

Yeah he also said if the Clips lose they should let Leonard walk in FA. There are times I really debate Stephen A’s mental competency.

Mitchell has admitted to the injury...Rich had the scoop, vindicated!
Stephen A is just a great verbal entertainer, don’t hold him responsible for logic. He opens his mouth and whatever comes out, comes out. Always delivered with tremendous passion, conviction, and eloquence even if it contradicts what he said five minutes ago.

It wasn't a scoop. He got injured at the end of the last game and just watching this game with two eyes yo ucould see he was running back on defense gingerly and the same explosion off the bounce simply wasn't there.
LAC maybe realize it too late but next game they'll be crowding him and making him a drive and finish guy.

People get way too caught up in what's happening in the moment.
Just rifling through some of Stockton's playoff stats.
In the 87-88 post-season, in 11 total games (so it wasn't just a 1st round quick exit), he average 19.5 points and 14.8 assists on over 50% shooting from the field.
In the 2nd round, they took the eventual champion Lakers to 7 games, and he had two insane games.
Game 4 he scored 24 points on 16 shots and had 23 assists.
Game 7, the big game, he had 29 points on 15 shots and 20 assists.
So, no, MItchell isn't close to being called the best player in Utah history yet. He's not even top 3.
