Udoka suspended for a year. One wonders if he’ll be back

Not sure how much that team needs a great coach though, they have a cohesive core that’s been together for a while now
 
What if the interim coach does fine? I have seen some stuff that he is expected to be a hot head coach candidate.
 
Are the Celtic players under same teams rule, I’m pretty sure Jason Tatum could bang the owner wife, and nothing would happen to him…..lol….I’m sure the players union would protect them anyway.

He slept with the wife of a high ranking Celtic official. STICK A FORK IN HIM…..HE IS DONE!!!!!!!
Plus the report is that it WAS consensual but now she’ll saying he made unwarranted advances!
 
Matt Barnes retracted his earlier statements saying that is bad worse than what was originally reported. I hope the details comes to light sounds like a juicy story

Yeah this is what happens when it goes sideways.. starts out consensual, then shit happens becomes something else.. just saying, when it comes to anyone whose career you may influence, keep it zipped..

Ryen Russillo explains the possible line that Udoka crossed. The Ringer guys have alot of sources in Boston so wouldn't doubt they know details of what happened. The example he gives of girlfriend (or side piece) vs wife with players and who is off limits is interesting. I think Udoka is fired if he is messing around with a co-worker who is also married to another co-worker. Now if he is messing around with a co-worker who is another co-worker's side piece and he was warned not to go down that route, a one year suspension seems appropriate.

And the guy is (was…..because she’s going cut his ass loose now) engaged to Nia Long (and has a baby with her)!

Im confused on how relationships are inappropriate within the organization, but theres a married couple within the org?

I think some organization are fine with relationships with people who aren't in each other's hierarchy or they are on the same level job. I also think relationships have to be disclosed to HR in most instances.

I think Udoka since he is the head coach, they see him as one of the few top level people in the organization so he shouldn't be engaging in relationships with anyone below him.

Ryen Russillo brings up the blurred lines of what players do and I think even brings up how Udoka is a former player. Teams might be perfectly fine with players having relationships with staffers. A head coach, even if he is a former player, has to act more like they are staff than one of the guys of the team. This might be an instance where the culture of the staffer, especially the former players they hired, was becoming unprofessional and they needed to put a stop to it.

This guy was banging the wife of a high ranking Celtic official…..and was warned to stop as well. He’s done!

The problem I’m having with this is HE is the only one being disciplined. The Celtics said no one else involved is being disciplined. Why is that???? The female who was in this consensual relationship broke company polices as well, right??? Has anything been said that it was sexual harassment, sexual assault or even rape??? Haven’t heard that at all! Then SHE should face the same disciplinary process as he has had to face! I’m not condoning what he did! His ass deserves to get suspended but this is not a Deshaun Watson thing….these were two consenting adults….who BOTH violated company policy. Both should be disciplined.

Yeah but it sounds like the consensual part of the relationship they let slide. It was when he crossed a line and ignored warnings that it became a disciplinary issue rather than a warning.

The higher ranking person has a responsibility to not abuse their position.

This may be one of the strangest injury situations in recent years. Ball will have his third surgery on this knee on Wednesday and is eight months removed from the first one. He said that walking up stairs is painful for him. He spent the summer rehabbing, and they'll continue to be patient with his recovery. At this point, he seems undraftable in standard leagues. If you want to take a stab in the last round on him, it could pay off. But the situation seems like one to steer clear of.
