0-16 or Nah?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Admittedly, it's really hard to be fired up for anything this offseason, even with two top four picks and a huge chunk of cap space, with Hue and Gregg both returning.

Just a total downer.

I'm glad we all got to share this season together. I'm glad we all got to witness the worst HC of all time. These are seasons I'll always remember when the Browns are winning Superbowls (in Madden ).

If you're an NFL team you should be able to at worst win two or three games in a season. You don't have to be very good at all to go 2-14 or 3-13. I don't have the animosity toward Hue that some of us here have, but an NFL coach that goes 1-31 with NFL players should not be an NFL coach, period. Next!

What happens to this guy if he was in the military?

Every guy I ever saw like that got fired. Fast.

When you get a guy this bad who doesn't stand up for his troops, the troops or senior NCOc's will take care of it by fucking him over with the oldest troop-trick in the book. They'd start carrying out the absolute letter of his orders, but not a speck more. No initiative, no independent judgment. That inevitably causes huge problems for which they really can't be blamed, because after all, they did exactly as they were told. Not in combat, but everywhere else.

They'd leave him hanging out to dry, bigly. Seen it happen a couple of times, and it is wildly effective. But good troops that like their leadership will try to make you look good.

How often has the US. Government purposefully lost battle after battle for three years to secure more draft picks?

Besides Viet Nam?

I'm going to Hell for that joke.

Occasionally you get an officer this bad coming out of the Academy or school. Generally speaking, even shitty lieutenants learn quickly what is and isn't acceptable in terms of leadership style.

But sometimes you get a guy and you ask "how the fuck did you ever earn a commission?" Hue qualifies as the bottom 5% of just utter shit-bag, Blue Falcon garbage officer that doesn't learn and even doubles-down on being a fucking jackass. These guys are universally shunned and mocked by everyone in the company, battalion, brigade and even up to the division level. @The Human Q-Tip @Marcus

He would have been removed from being platoon leader within a couple months and exiled to a meaningless staff position. He would never make major and would be separated.

Leaders eat last or not at all.

He would have been fired as a platoon leader (something I can assure you is almost impossible to do unless you’re a gigantic fuckup), and he would have been exiled to some kind of bitch work before being separated/told not to stay in the service.

I would NEVER even consider the fleeting possibility of throwing any one of my soldiers under the bus. Their failures are also my failures, whether it’s fair or not. That’s what it means to be a leader - full accountability and responsibility for yourself and your subordinates. Hue is nothing but a fucking cowardly snake, and I hope that Jimmy and John see reason before long and send his fat ass packing.

Dark humor is like food, not everyone gets it.

Love that you guys rode the ship down all the way to the bottom.

Captain Hue not only abandoned the ship, he threw a bunch of crewmen in while he swam away.

Did he do anything that would theoretically be fireable today?
I was watching with that in mind. For me his biggest fuck-up was, when the offense came out after the two minute warning, they weren't ready to run a play and Kizer had to call a time out. IDK how you can have that happen coming right out of the 2 minute warning.

I don't know if that would be considered firing offense material but it is sure as hell a sign of incompetence and we saw a lot of that all season long from Hue's offense.

Is the dude being intentionally incompetent?

I mean, they are tanking. Is he embracing the role too much?
