11/23 - Browns (6-4) @ Falcons (4-6) [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Benching your QB who has taken all but 4 snaps all year for a rookie when you are 7-4 is not going to happen. We will only see Manziel if we fall out of the playoff race or Hoyer gets injured.

Hoyer vs Manziel is a debate for the offseason. We'll have to opportunity to keep Hoyer and trade Manziel, let Hoyer walk and go with Manziel, or keep them both. Right now, pull for Hoyer to play as well as he can, and worry about the QBOTF in the offseason.

Yup this is not the situation I'd want to toss a rookie qb into. For better or worse, we should ride out the Hoyer ship this season.

Hoyer certainly is starting next week. I just wonder what the odds of seeing Johnny would have been if that last minute drive doesnt come together.

I admire the toughness of Hoyer and he has made some clutch drives late. It's hard to kill a guy who is 7-4 when the custom here is to lose 11 games each year. But the fact remains that his completion rate sucks and that can no longer be ignored when he starts turning the ball over.

He is the limiting factor in what looks like it could be an elite offense. We are used to seeing QBs look like crap when surrounded by crap. Hoyer is looking like crap surrounded by some serious talent. Can't overlook that much longer.

hoyer in his 14 starts with the browns has now shit the bed.. 3 or 4 times ? The rest of the time he has been very consistently above average. i agree you cant ignore it when he turns the ball over, but being as these were interceptions 6, 7 and 8 on the season that still puts him very solidly in a "takes care of the ball" sort of QB.

the browns are now 7-4 and very strongly in the playoff hunt (At least for now). the name johnny shouldnt be mentioned around here for a while.

a ugly win is still a win. and hoyer is now 10-4 as the starter of the browns. it may be ugly but its winning games
