2006 NBA Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Gadzuric and his rediculous afro and constant duhhhhhh expression isn't underrated. He is nice to come in run around and stuff and look cool but put a true center on him and he will back down faster then ruanu in a fight with a guy in front of pier 1 imports. Chandler would make Gadzuric look lost out there he is more powerful better defender by leaps and bounds and a better offensive game. Curry would like...well shaq backing down bogut.

That duuuh line is actually pretty damn funny CDT. :chuckles: This will be the only time that an anti-Gadz post goes unmolested. You've just used your get out of jail free card buddy.

Point guard and center will likely be our target come next summer, although plenty of things could change between now and then.

YES KARMA, you are correct!

Point guard will be our number one priority if we are not able to aquire a young point guard during the season. I don't nessesarily rate this point guard class that high, but Daniel Gibson would look good in wine and gold. :D This should be an interesting year in college basketball for us cavs fans.

A once in a life time opportunity, WE HAVE A FIRST ROUND PICK THIS YEAR :chuckles:

Way before Milwaukee even called Bogut's name, Gadzuric was on a lot of teams' radars, with good reason. He would've been great behind Z. But he's not a 2006 draft prospect.

^I'm counting on E-light's cat to "bring us down" a PG next year :wiggle:

I'm assuming that the Cavaliers will not be in the lottery next year and will likely be selecting somewhere between picks 15-22. With that being said, I think Ferry's best strategy will be to select the best available player regardless of your certain need of a top flight point gaurd. Gibson will be a top 8 pick so he's pretty much out of the picture. The only position that the Cavs are pretty solid (depth wise) is at power forward and shooting guard. And I'm sure the most honest among you are not completely sold on Sasha, Ira, and possibly Luke if he's unable to shoot with the accuracy needed to overcome his defensive liabilities.

In terms of a point gaurd, you definitely don't need a gamebreaker. The order of the day would be a guy that's fast, steady with the pill, able to stay in front of someone defensively, and a threat from the perimeter (Chris Duhon). That guy will be there when you make your selection. However, it's not inconceivable that Ferry would take a guy like Reddick if he's there at say #22. He would immediately be the best pure shooter on the team and Steve Kerr-esque outlet for Lebron and Z out of the post (Hughes wouldn't pass to him).

A future trade of Gooden for Mo Williams will still be a possibility if Ferry and Harris want to deal with each other. Varejao will be another Gadzuric if he keeps working hard on defense and running the court. If Varejao blossoms into an 10ppg, 7-10rpg guy that fits team chemistry, then Gooden should be moved if he's as mentally inconsistent as some here say.

Trust me, Scottie is my favorite of all time, Not just part of my SN.

I've never seen a player come as close in terms of size, Tmac had the capabilities, but he tends to focus a bit more on his offensive game..

I remember after Jordan retired, I had high hopes for Pippen to still dominate the game. However, he didnt do much i can remember, couldnt make it work in Houston w/ Barkley, the Dream. And in Portland I cant remember much. Maybe he was just past his prime, and couldnt produce like in Chicago. But I wonder how much of his game was linked to playing in the shadow of His Airness. Anyone would look better playing with Jordan. Could Pippen carry a franchise on his own? We will never know. Im not trying to devalue your fav player, just wondering how playing w/ Jordan may have effected how fans view his game. He is certainly a Hall of Famer, and a top 50 player by himself though.

Bulls won 55 games in 93-94 (JORDAN'S FIRST YEAR GONE) With PIP as the captain of the SHIP..

Bulls lost on the road to the Knicks in game 7 of the semi finals..

Pippen's averages without Jordan as a Bull

22.0 PTS

8.7 RPG

5.6 APG

3.1 SPG

1.0 BPG

He won the All Star Game mvp that year, posting 29 PTS and 11 RBS in that game..

I would say SCOTTIE stepped up his game when Jordan was gone 22-8-5-3-1...And guarding the opposing teams best perimeter player..(JUST LIKE WHEN JORDAN WAS THERE, PIP ALWAYS TOOK ON THE BEST PERIMETER PLAYER, NOT JORDAN) They were 1 win away from playing the Pacers in the conference finals without Jordan that year.

Scottie put that team on his back and carried them as far as he could..

Consider that an EDUCATION on PIP from LePIP :)

Thanks for tha education. I wasnt able to watch many of the games back during the dominant Bulls era. I was a Jordan fan when I was younger, simply because he was the BEST. Like many youngsters are fans of LeBron right now.

I think history has shown that it takes more than one great player to win the title. Jordan had help, as did Magic, Bird. Hopefully LeBron will have the help he needs, and stay in C-town for a while. Could the help he Hughes? I believe Larry will be 'LeBron's Pippen'! We shall see, coming to your TV this November.........

No Problem HPD... it's just what I do :chuckles:

With outside shooters of Marshall and Jones..

LeHughes is the perfect compliment to GOD23..

Because he is a similar player- Hughes is a triple double threat like 'Bron..When one is in foul trouble, the other can take over the game...

I'm not sure if some people actually realize how talented Larry is offensively, he is a guy in my opinion that could be a 27 28 ppg guy... Hell he averaged 22 last year with two 20+ ppg players on his team..

He is a guy that can get you 40 if you need 40...

But he is a pretty good defender, and can rebound and pass with the best guards in this league..

I agree!!! I feel Hughes is the perfect complement to LeBron! They both have great all-around games, it will be a thing of beauty to watch. And now we have the perimeter shooting, it will be much easier for our 'core' to rack up the assists. I wouldnt be surpirsed if they were top 2 in triple doubles. I really feel the 2 were meant to play together, with LeBron talkin to Hughes last year about playin with him. Its no coincidence their numbers are #23 & #32!!!

LePip,

You forgot to school HPD on the "Kukoc effect" when you talked about Pippens victories as a Bull post-MJ. The Bulls record with Kukoc and w/out Kukoc is quite revealing isn't it LePip! ;)

But in any event, Pippen was a great player (and so was Toni Kukoc).
