2013-14 Ohio State Basketball Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hopefully AJ Harris sold him

off to duke

He can get in Kyle Ahrens' ear now. Not a bad plan B. Solid athlete and good shooter.

Also, Thad will be totally forgiven if he can snag a legit big for 2015. The other positions should be very solid.

That's a nice pickup. More of an offensive game than Evan Ravenel it seems? We need some efficient scoring down low. Christ, we need scoring in general. So what are we looking at for next year?

Scott
Williams and Russel will be a compelling battle for time
Loving
Lee
Williams

Not bad on paper? With Diop and Tate providing some energy off the bench.

Lee will end up playing most of his minutes at Center the way Thad has decided to go small so much recently.

I think you'll see Lee at center with Loving at PF, Keita Bates-Diop at SF, Thompson at 2G, and Scott at PG.

Next years team on paper, should be better IMO. Russell will get a lot of minutes backing up Scott and Williams backs up Thompson.

I think the season will go as far as Shannon can take them. Shannon was shooting really well going into last season but lost his stroke early in the year. If he can become a consistent shooter from deep it will make a huge difference for OSU's offense.

Russell is too good a scorer/creator to not start for this team, especially considering the struggles the team had this year scoring.

I'd like to see Scott/Russell/Thompson/Diop/Lee, but I wouldn't be too upset if Loving got the nod over Diop.

With Craft gone and Scott being able to take over as the primary ball handler (which should have been the case last year anyway), you'll see an improvement in him and the team. Could have a Kendall Marshall type impact/year.

Is there anything about Diop that makes you feel like he can start over loving? I'm not trying to be rude; I'm asking as someone who hasn't watched much of KDB.

While Loving has potential, he seems somewhat slow and deliberate out there. Diop can get his own shot, shoot over a defender, athletic, rebounds well despite slender frame. Overall he's just a better prospect.

Diop is like a clone of Tayshaun Prince, IMO. And Tayshaun was dirty at Kentucky. Kid can really do it all and the way Matta has shown a penchant got going small, Diop coukd play anything from PF to 2G. I'm more excited about Diop than Russell to be honest. Just think Diop has so many skills and a great feel for the game.

Kam will win that battle easily. He would've seen a lot of time this year had he not been forced to redshirt because of an illness. Heard he dominates in practices.

We should have a deep team. Would like to see a 8 or 9 man rotation and more pressure on D.
