I like it. We got him on our terms and this could turn out very well.

Grant is unbelievable!

This was honestly the only thing I was really hoping would happen this cavs offseason and I am even happier now that the contract details are being released. Low Risk with the sky is the limit on the possible reward!

The stars aligned just perfectly with this years new CBA. Getting a very minimal risk contract for potentially the best payout of any free agent on the market this year. Probably the best contract of the summer.

Is there any possibility of us getting a SnT with Phily and getting his bird rights? With a contract we have now, and the potential to keep him at what the market dictates is certainly worth a late first(I'm looking at you Sacto pick) or a couple 2nds. Phily more than likely jumps all over that for the trade exception, additional picks, with no cost to them. Why wouldn't they ?

If healthy and if Bennett pans out, we have potentially the best frontcount in the league, and the potential of our backcourt is probably the best in the league also. Kyrie is a top 5 PG. Healthy Bynum and Andy are both top 10 Centers.

All we have is a glaring hole left at SF. I guess that leaves it open for King Benedict. Personally short of him tossing one of this championship rings in Lake Erie and proclaiming them worthless compared to one for Cleveland and I don't buy. Don't care that he's the best in the world.

Mike Brown strikes again?

Well DUUUHH! If they didn't want U more they wouldn't have structured the contract like it is.

Keep expectations for Bynum in line, folks... He's going to be handled with kid gloves this year.. Probably have very limited minutes,... I expect Varejao and Bynum to share about 40 minutes a night ... And they might not work up to that much time until late in season.. Key is getting Bynum back in shape and ready to be the Bynum of old, in 2014/15 season, hopefully.

That's perfect. AV and Bynum can limit each others' minutes, and hopefully stay relatively healthy. Andy getting 35 minutes a night at center will have him injured inside of 2 months.

Can't believe it. Even if it doesn't work out, kudos.

It's funny that the Clinic was a contributing factor in the decision, because I read an ESPNDallas article that said that their clinic was a major reason that he would sign with the mavs....they cited tyson chandler which is fair, but everyone knows that the Cleveland Clinic is the best!!!

We need a SF now. I would really rather not see Clark start. Hell, I would start Miles over Clark. All we have now is the room exception or a trade to get one.

Finally....it's time for Kirilenko!!

Will be good if this helps our young core get playoff experience for a bigger run in 2014/15

WE OUTCHEA BICTHES!!!! PLAYOFF BASKETBALL LIVES IN THE Q ONCE MORE!!!!

If Bynum is 100%, he's unstoppable in the paint. Next best thing to Howard (and potentially better). And he's got a nasty streak that'll guarantee him multiple suspensions. I don't mind this in the regular season. Kyrie could use an enforcer.

But let's be realistic: things go well, this is a fifty-win team in the East; worst case, Cavs are trotting out a Jack/Waiters/Clark/Thompson/Zeller starting lineup, and staring at a mid-to-high lottery pick. I'm excited and scared shitless.

Holy crap. A Safari failed. He's actually coming. Lets move along to the new thread.
