2014 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

That's pretty clear right there. Clearer than Jason Kidd's "hit me" he pulled in the middle of a game in order to get a time-out. The body language speaks for itself too.

Am I the only one who thinks he just couldn't believe he was drafted into the NBA and he wasn't talking about the T Wolves?

i get that he is just a kid who made a simple mistake, but this seemed to cross the line of just downright disrespectful. puts himself and the organization in a tough spot right off the bat.

He said "fuck man" after putting his head down in relief.

He had worked out with he wolves and they told him they would take him prior to the draft.

Was a surreal moment for him and it shows with his expression and how he acted right afterwards. He's not saying "fuck" because he got drafted by the Timberwolves. He just got drafted and lived out one of his dreams by making it to the league. He's in awe.

There was talk of Minny offering a promise to LaVine to draft him at #13 a while before the draft took place. I heard chatter of that at least a couple days beforehand. Why would Zach be upset at getting drafted to the team that gave him a promise? Come on guys...

I felt we always over react to our players when drafted but how sad is it we are doing this to other teams players drafted. We really need to get back to the play offs.

I guess him not smiling a single time on his way to the stage was just a ruse. He clearly wanted to go to the Timberwolves, we all know how much UCLA players love Minnesota.

I cuss a lot..
Whether I am happy, sad, excited, or indifferent I cuss...

This kid looked relieved that all the pressure of not only the day but the last few months of his life were over and he expressed it with a cuss word... So what?

IMO it had nothing to do with the Wolves and everything to do with this kid being emotionally overwhelmed by a moment that had been building in his head for well, who knows, since he was 3' tall...

Leave the kid alone.. Fuck man.

Except for the sixers, who just drafted an entire D-league team

I kind of like what the Sixers did. Pre-foot injury, Jo Jo was the best prospect in the draft. It's not out of the question he could still be the best player from this draft, provided there are no long-term foot issues. That was a surefire swing for the fences pick. If that alone pays off, they win.

That said, the rest of their picks were solid. Saric should be really good when he comes over. Getting McDaniels in Grant in the second round was great value, and I would have to think that one of them turns into something far better than anyone expected. Finally, they got Pierre Jackson who was tearing it up in the D-League and seems to be one of those sparkplug scorers that good teams always find. Don't get me wrong, they're putting all their chips on potential, but if that potential is realized... they'll be scary.

It certainly not as impressive as when Robinson was drafted by Sac-Town a couple years ago. That was a look of "fuck me" without the words.

"I've been waiting my whole life for this moment," said LaVine, who was chosen 13th overall Thursday. "It was just a rush of emotion that came through me. I'm on cloud nine, still. I'm ecstatic.

"I put my head down, thanked God, hugged my mom. You think of this as a kid and can't believe it's actually happening. I'm just ready to put my whole heart into Minnesota and just go out there and do my best."
