yeah, just the other day I told someone the plot to one of those episodes. The one where they remodeled the handyman's room and then he thought it was too nice for him to live in. Kinda weird I would think of that and then he passes away a few days later.

At 94 this isnt a tragedy, so thinking about his work is perfect. I man as achieved as Bob Newhart passes at 94, it should be a celebration of his life, he really had an incredible body of work as a comedian. One of the GOATS in comedy for sure in my opinion. I never get tired of his dry wit.

What always impressed me with Newhart is his cadence and timing. The joke on paper would be funny, but then the facial expressions and timing raises the joke to new heights. In his stand-up routines, he played the straight man and his partner was a telephone that wasn't plugged in. With that unexpected set up, he created comedy that still holds up today... and somehow he outlasted the telephone in being relevant. Who has a telephone anymore? I go on a rant to my kids every Christmas about Buddy the Elf's dad being a comedy genius. I'm glad Gen Z and Gen A get to grow up with some Newhart every December. RIP!
