2018-19 Predicitons thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I honestly find it amazing after years and years and years of people predicting the downfall of the Spurs and it not happening that it still happens?

Like...they're more consistent than anytbing. More than LeBron. At some point shouldnt they have to just miss the playoffs before anyone believes they will

The last remaining link to that era is basically Pop. No Manu, no Duncan, no Parker, no Kawhi, Murray out for the year, White out two months. They made the playoffs by a game last year, and they got worse while almost everyone else got better.

I think Pop is the greatest coach of all-time, but great coaches still need talent to win.

I kinda think you're massively underrating DeRozan when Leonard didn't play last year.

Like, tell me truthfully, if I told you going into last season Leonard would play less than 10 games, you wouldn't have had them making the playoffs, would you?

Well, yes, but with another year of a full 82 on Pau's and Rudy's legs, plus the loss of 2 good point guards, should we really expect a ton?

I think DeRozen and LA are good players, but I'm not sure if that's enough, in the West, to overcome aging and injury problems.

Probably not. And I would have been wrong by one game. It's not like they still won 55 games last year. They barely made it in.

And they didn't just replace Leonard with DeRozan. They lost Manu, Parker, Danny Green, and Murray. Lonnie Walker and Derrick White are gone before getting started. Pau Gasol is 38.

DeMar is a fine player, but is a DeMar-LMA duo enough to beat out the Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, Thunder, Nuggets, Lakers, Blazers, Pelicans or Grizzlies?

Im kind of wondering what everyone sees in the Grizzlies this year? Im not saying you guys are wrong, but when i look at them i see an aging Marc Gasol and a brittle Mike Conley and not much else. Did they sign some free agents im not aware of?

A lot of JJJ fans here.

Kyle Anderson at least gives them a different play making option if Conley goes down.

They should be fighting for a playoff spot, IMO.

Ok, i figured it must be some young guys. Gonna be interesting in the West for sure.

I would only put OC a few spots down.

I was not aware that, West is so strong.

Here is my Prediction for the east.

1 - Raptors
2 - Celtics
3 - Bucks
4 - 76ers
5 - Pacers
6 - Wizards
7 - Pistons
8 - Heat
9 - Hornets
10-Magic
11-Nets
12-Knicks
13-Bulls
14-Hawks
15-Cavs

By December 2nd we'll have played 22 games and looking at the schedule we'll be favored in about 3-4 of those remaining games. We play a 10 game stretch starting in mid November where we could easily go 0-10.

Hornets
Wiz
Pistons
Lakers
76ers
Rockets
Twolves
Thunder
Celtics
Raptors

After those 10 games we could pretty easily be 4-18 - 6-16. I think Gilbert pulls the plug and we go into tank mode and start the rebuild. We'll end up with a top 3 pick, another 1st round pick and young player from a Love trade. We also have another brutal stretch beginning in 2019 that could result in an 0-10 record.

Uhuh.

Never again.
