I thought that phrase meant 2 different people actually. A former 1st overall pick (AB) and a DPOY (TC), that's why i thought it was funny that the sarcasm came from TC and not AB. It was a joke, I don't even know if you're a fanboy or not, i didn't make that post with 2nd intentions at all.
I apologize. I just saw you earlier in the week saying people were saying dumb stuff about Lebron. I am not a Lebron fan anymore, but i do try to not go overboard with it. He is still a hell of a basketball player. Maybe you were referring to Dotl.....now HE was on another level of hating Lebron. Anyway, my bad on your Bennett post.

It's fine. I don't really take note of posters to be honest. I just read the opinions, don't really connect users to them. There are exceptions of course, if someone constantly says the same thing like the example you gave, sure, i'll remember the name, but otherwise, not really. ;)

Power rankings from ESPN, take it for what it's worth (not much), but they rank Milwaukee #1, put Denver as the favorite in the West at #2, and rank the Lakers 6th behind those two and the Clippers, Rockets, and Sixers. Feels like....parity!

I love that. Those kids will always remember the time they played with the NBA player. He didn't fake it either, he was trying his best against 2 and 3 kids guarding him. That smile on his face playing with the kids is priceless.
I couldn't tell which one was him when they got all bunched up....

So they just had the first event at the new Chase Center.

I find it tragic that the Warriors, long supported by the Black Community in Oakland during their awful years, have become gentrified.

As soon as they got good Lacob et al., couldn't get to SF faster so as to be close to the fair-weather, rich white fans. Now the old die-hards will have to spend a good deal of time and money to see the Warriors; if they can afford the tickets that is.

Such a shame.

So the rockets just exploited a loophole in the CBA and I'd love to get some opinions about it.

Without quoting the full article the rockets created a trading chip out of nothing. basically the rockets having bird rights to Nene gave him a contract full of likely bonuses, the total being to the tune of 2 years in 20 million dollars. These bonuses are related to combination of the number of games he plays and number of wins the rockets have. Because of how many games he played last year and how many wins the rockets had last year, his bonuses are considered likely and thus he now counts as a 10 million dollar contract when it comes to trades.

However the rockets can easily control how many games he plays. Thus the rockets can trade a guy worth 10 million dollars in cap space but is actually only getting paid the veteran minimum. Basically creating a trading chip for themselves.

While I think it's a a great idea my thought is that it intentionally tries to manipulate the CBA. Furthermore would the players union have a huge issue with him being intentionally held out of games in order to not meet his bonuses?

MJ to relinquish a significant part of his Hornets stake.

The more, the better for them...what a shitshow everything has been under him.
