I don’t really get Russell to the Warriors. Steph and Russell will score a lot, but they won’t be the same defensively. Don’t they look a lot like Portland now?

You knew Iggy was doomed when he spoke out the Warriors medical staff. They shipped him to a rebuilding lottery team. Wow.

They will play like Portland for one year and hard capped but then they have the asset to go get a star when they come on to the trade market in summer 2020. They now don't have to offer Draymond the max because getting Russell for free has now created flexibility.

It just doesn't make sense for the Nets to gift a potential rival something like this. I'm still not sure what exactly the benefit to the Nets is. The extra piece this year that the Nets might get in free agency won't even matter because Durant won't be healthy.

Yeah, bad move by the Warriors. Russell just doesn't fit in with this team. Iggy was the glue guy for that franchise. He was the Robert Horry of that team. Did all the intangibles and was clutch. They are gonna miss him. Warriors dynasty is officially dead

Griffin snags JJ Redick for New Orleans at $12 million a year...not a bad move given some of the other contracts being handed out. Griffin is looking really great for NO so far.

I disagree. Redick helps the team out. But overall the starting lineup is still projecting to be Lonzo Ball - Jrue Holiday - Brandon Ingram - Zion Williamson - Derrick Favors. With Redick, NAW, Hayes off the bench. Where is the shooting outside of Redick? The starting 5 has majors issues in terms of playing next to each other. The pieces just don't fit. If any team should have taken De'Andre Hunter because he fit perfectly next to Zion and Lonzo. You can argue he did well in the Anthony Davis trade. But everyone is looking at the Pelicans offseason differently if he didn't luck into Zion. He really hasn't done anything but give AD to the LBJ for the Lakers trash, Fumbled his picks outside of Zion. Overpaid for Favors. I really don't get why people think hes doing some amazing job.

Soooo, the Lakers missed out on every free agent worth talking about. I never even heard they tried very hard for anyone else. I am just waiting for that big alert of Kawhi going there. They are just being way too quiet. The new Woj bomb that will kill the Nba for the next 3 years. The sad part is i like the way the rest of the league is shaping up, looks like it could be anyones league next year....well, within reason. Kawhi to LA though would kill all that. We will see, but i have seen this movie soo many times, hard to not know how it ends.

Iggy was definitley not the same guy this year. I think GS was just trying to preserve the KD asset and get something back. I agree with all the guys out there that say Dlo is getting traded. They will try to pimp and dump him.

I'm not sure why he would agree to go to the Warriors with how likely it will be that he gets traded next summer. Going to Minny seem like a pipe dream because of their cap. I'm not sure why he didn't try to get to somewhere who viewed him as a long term piece.

Me either. Seems odd he didn't take longer. Waiting for him could have been great because he could have gotten a clippers max or something. Guess he likes GS, and sees an opportunity there

Like what the fuck! I thought they basically were dead after the last CBA. WTF why didn't Griff try this shit since we were Way, WAY, WAY over the cap. Seems like all teams are doing it this year.

I agree. Leonard to anywhere but Lakers gives you a ton of teams who could win it. Would be a fun year and could make for an entertaining playoffs. Most off it also means a lot of our expiring deals could be worth stuff for teams going for it.

Iggy would be a great fit with the Lakers. Feels like he is approaching that point in his career where he might fall off a cliff in terms of ability though, kind of like Shawn Marion in LBJ's first year with us. Maybe he's got another good year left in the tank. He performed well in the playoffs this year I thought.

The Wizards are going to be painful this year. I live in DC so it's tough, they are one of the most snake-bitten franchises in the NBA right now it feels like.
