Was Saquon ever in consideration for the Browns with #4? I was resigned to him being the pick if he was available, but given the way analytics seems to have influenced our moves, I'm beginning to doubt we would have taken him.

The problem is their process ending in those two as their final two. That does not inspire confidence, to say the least.

I hope Allen was the guy the coaches wanted and Baker was the guy the front office wanted. Because I already have zero faith in Hue Jackson so him wanting a shit prospect like Allen wouldn't surprise me.

Or it was the top 2 from Analytics (BAKER) vs GUT and Measurables (Allen) with some consensus from Scouts/coaching once all is said and done.

I know Rosen seemed most pro-ready, but dropped bc of concussions and attitude. Darnold on the other hand seemed like a leader, could make the throws, but a real bad turnover problem. I’m not sure if they viewed the turnover problem fixable or a lack of awareness he may never possess.

I’m really just glad it wasn’t Allen. There was no perfect QB prospect in this draft.
