2018 NFL SEASON Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The thing that annoys me the most about Patriots fans is that Tom Brady is their entire team. It's not "the Patriots just won their 6th Super Bowl", it's "Tom Brady just won his 6th Super Bowl".

Lakers fans did the same thing with Kobe and it was annoying as shit. I bet half the Pats fans that watched the game tonight don't even know the name of the dude that picked off Goff's trash throw. One dude I saw on Twitter thought it was Malcolm Butler, and I'm pretty sure he didn't even play a snap tonight.

So excited for his ass to retire.

In the same situation, Baker would've probably struggled in the first half just as Goff did tonight.

But then in the second half, he would've lit Mumbles' ass up like the 4th of July FTW.

If Baker was QB for the Rams. Do I think they win? Probably not. But he wouldn't have played scared shitless.

Bill would have forced some bad mistakes. But he'd come back swinging a big dick, and not shitting himself.

When the Pats scored. The look on Goff's face said it all. He looked scared. This is the SB, son.

You got to go win it.

Replace Goff with half of the starting QBs in the league and the Rams win tonight. Goff is talented as hell, but I'm pretty sure he was crying out there tonight.

Mahomes, Brees, Rodgers, Big Ben, Ryan, Rivers, Wilson, Luck all almost assuredly win this game.

Guys like Newton, Baker, Wentz/Foles, and Watson all probably would have been better too.

The Patriots were underdogs the same way Golden State overcame "adversity" the last two Finals.

We can cut the narrative, idiot media. They don't need fluffing up. Fake News indeed.

People don't actually take Max Kellerman seriously do they? Dude was a boxing commentator and probably has the worst takes/analysis on ESPN, which is saying something.

Naw.

He just wants to play the Boston victim card while at the same time being smug about winning.

It's this weird humblebrag.

Again...Anyone with two braincells could see that New England was going to be in this by default due to how the AFC really has a lack of parity at this point.

Brady showed signs of decline, sure. But Belichick has yet to retire and was probably the difference maker in this game.

Speaks more of a testament to how great Belichick is as a coach and how "not ready for primetime" Goff was really.

Also, a shitty rapper.

Here's his doucheness in full display. LOL

I don't know if this makes me actually like Max a little bit, or make me dislike him more

It's so bad, so corny, so nerdy, but so funny.

"My flavor is good, my flavor is gooooooood." :chuckle:

Difference being the media was on an all out assault saying they were finished. GSW never had that happened and just made shit up

You remind me of those hot take people that would keep hoping for a Spurs-Pistons finalls every year because they "play the game the right way" or some shit.

Give me the offensive shootouts any day of the week. I've seen the other sorts of game as a Browns fan. It sucks and is absolutely dreadful to watch.

You do know this is a matter of taste/personal preference, right? Some people prefer shootouts, some don't. Just like in baseball.

Neither answer is "right" or "wrong". I personally enjoyed it more than a shootout, but that's just an opinion like anyone else's.

Times a team could legitimately play the "NO ONE BELIEVED IN US" card

-2002 National Championship Game (OSU)
-2016 NBA Finals (Cavs)
-2004 ALCS (Red Sox)
-2001 Super Bowl (Patriots)

Times when a team and it's fans can't play it
-Golden State 2017-Pres.
-New England 2003-Pres.

"An all out assault"

...BAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA.
