First off? Holy shit does he sound like Phillip J. Fry in this clip.

Second off? It's the Super Bowl

People are going to watch due to the commercials, and it being the biggest television event of the year.

This is generally a game that generally delivers with some sort of zaniness in some aspect. Be it Super Bowl XX with the Bears running rough shot over the Patriots, Super Bowl XXII with the Montana drive or the Marcus Allen touchdown run in Super Bowl XXVIII.

Christ even the Dan Beebe/Leon Lett touchdown was SOMETHING.

You got...nothing of that sort here. This was akin to something I've seen out of a Browns game.

ESPN is desperately trying to remain relevant.

They cater to the lowest common denominator of fan then react to them saying the game was boring.

Always outrage for outrage sake. Hardly ever anything of actual substance.

Feels like half their programming is one host yelling at another. I used to listen to Mike and Mike a little bit now don’t tune into their channels unless it’s a live sporting event.

Mike and Mike was perfectly decent; I guess they couldn’t stand each other and there was total silence in between commercial breaks and that’s eventually why it ended.

People just hate greatness for some reason. It's definitely easier to hate the Pats just because of their mega douche fans but their greatness just can't be denied, i'm sorry. I mean the guy was the 199th pick in the draft and becomes the greatest qb ever to lace em up? That's a real life movie if i've ever seen one. Also, anyone on here would do some crazy shit to have half of that organizations success. Can't wait for next year that's for damn sure . . .

I found this deadspin link when I lurked to see what Stooler fans thought, and I see why people think in the article's manner, but every one of the pejoratives in it is 10x more usable with, say, the Yankees or Warriors:

I'm not a Pats fan by any stretch of the imagination, with my primary dislike of them being from Spygate, but they're still on "lesser of two evils" footing against, at the very least, the Stoolers and Ratbirds.
