2018 UDFA Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Impossible. Went undefeated against TTUN, broke nearly every school record. Time to rethink your take, Mark May.

Underachieved.

Had the talent to win at least 1 NC. Yet without Jones we don’t win in 2014.

It’s personal opinion. I was never as frustrated with a QB as I was JT Barrett. His skills as a passer were so bad.

The last decade:

1. Smith
2. Pryor
3. Jones
4. Miller
5. Boeckman
6. Barrett

** PERSONAL opinion **

You're entitled to your bad opinion, and a lot of people share it. Barrett's career numbers dwarf all of those players, including Troy's.

I choose to focus on his flawless record against our Rival, the Penn State comeback, the Mich St game his soph year, his leadership of the program and his career accomplishments as a whole, which are all tangible and cannot be denied.

(I'm 99% kidding around, this argument is so tired it should be a stand up routine)

To me, JT was a better QB and a better passer than both Braxton and Boeckman.

Boeckman of course has far better arm talent but JT valued the ball more and kept TO’s to a minimum.

There’s nothing about JT that says even NFL backup QB but I still think he was a better QB than Boeckman and Braxton. Even Cardale is difficult to judge because once he(and JT) lost Tom Herman, there was a serious regression over a larger sample size than the magical 2015 title run

You mean his Freshman year? The MSU game his Sophomore year cost us b2b National Championships.

That DT from Georgia, Thompson, I think could make the roster. Was a highly touted 5star that just couldn't put it together in college. Plus, I think we outside O and Brantley, we are very weak with our depth, and I don't know how well those 2 will fair with a significant snap increase.

I hope Evan berry is just a late bloomer and turns out just as good as his brother. Gawd, that would be a godsend to this secondary.

I hope the Browns are finally in a position where no UDFA's are good enough to make the team. I haven't looked too closely, but they only one that catches my eye is the OT from West Georgia as he seems to have been in a Crow situation - highly touted recruit but was an idiot so had to finish his career at a lower level.

The Savage Era is over in Houston? When did that happen???
