Felt like the Lakers stepped up their game last night to withstand a lot of runs, control turnovers (9 TO vs 16 and 19 in the last two games), and lead basically wire to wire. There's usually a point where a championship team has to take it to another level like that, and they did it. I don't see them blowing this lead.
Not to mention 10 more free throws than Denver..

There aren’t a ton of trades I’d make if I’m Denver, but I’d explore what Harris and MPJ could bring back.

Does Washington turn down Harris, MPJ, and #22 for Beal? If they want to trade Beal, they’d probably hard pressed to get a better offer.

Murray, Beal, Barton, Grant, and Jokic is a bit of a scary starting 5 to deal with. Murray, Barton, Grant, and Beal all shoot 35% or better from three.

That honestly might make them the favorites next year as they’d have three guys that could drop 30+ on you at any given time. Let MPJ become a star elsewhere if that happens.
I am not seeing denver trading porter. They a top four team.. any injury to lebron or AD, and they are in the title game.. I think they tweak, rather than go for a redo.. they might be able to capture a ring seeking vet..

Denver is already really close to getting there w/ essentially zero offensive production from 45+ million of their salary cap in Gary Harris and Paul Millsap.

I don't think they need a big swing trade.

I'm still all aboard the trade MPJ train if I'm Denver, but there's no way I trade Harris. His perimeter defense is too important to them.

Zero turnovers for Lebron...wow

atst some of the shots he was taking might as well be turnovers

A lot of what Denver does this offseason is going to depend on what Jerami Grant decides to do. He has a player option worth about $10 mill. While I’d guess Denver would do whatever they could to re-sign him should he decline the option, there will be a number of good teams that could use a player like Grant and can have the money to pay him: Suns, Heat, Pelicans, Thunder, Grizzlies, Kings, Raptors.

Grant would be a great fit on that Suns team, especially if they trade Oubre for some other assets.

Will be interesting to watch for sure. If Grant leaves, I don’t think they make a trade and just focus on trying to free up space for another PF.

I don't know where Denver would be right now, but it's a shame a Love for Millsap swap didn't happen.

Would have free'd a ton of space for us. Dunno if Love helps Denver, but I do know Millsap isn't.

Lebron is lucky to have Davis. He is like 10 levels above Love.

There’s no comparison at all.

Davis is the best player Lebron has ever played with, and it’s not close.

Also the first time he has ever had another first team all NBA player on a team with him

I don't know man.

I always go back to this but the year prior (09-10) there's a real good case to be made Dwayne Wade was the 2nd best player in basketball that season.

The first year LeBron joined, Wade was still really, really good. Maybe not as good as Davis is now. But....not far off. I think people just remember they didn't fit perfectly together. But Wade was a beast that 1st year. And he tried to carry LeBron in the Finals.

Tonight's game is a burr in the saddle. I want a Lakers vs. Miami Finals so bad, I feel it in my plums. I really like that 2-3 zone Miami rolls out with two long athletes on the perimeter, usually Iguodala and Bam, with the smaller guys on the outside wings of the back 3. If the Cavs get some decent forwards with defensive upside, they can hide Sexland on the wings in that zone.

Out of curiosity, what makes you want a Lakers Heat matchup as opposed to a Lakers Celts matchup? Is it the Riley LeBron thing?

Watched part of the game 4, it was good and competitive but its like the refs put a 3ft halo around bron and davis.
Every time they drive theres basically zero defense against them because no one is allowed to touch them.
The star treatment feels absurd and barely enjoyable to watch.

It’s happening again right now.
