Cost Charlotte 9 M for 3 years since Boston wouldn't take on Batum and all they got was a 2nd round pick? It's like they paid 18M over 3 years for that 2nd round pick.

IF Hayward Opted out, why involve Boston in the trade at all? I wouldn't have even entertained it if they didn't take Batum.

Saw someone on Twitter say the Hawks were going to be Dallas last year. But Dallas won 43 games and Hawks won 20.

How many wins do people think the hawks improved by? I'd guess Okongwu adds 3 wins at the very most and likely none. Bogdanovic is how many? Galinari is how many?

I think they might crack 30 wins, but I don't see more than 35. A 15 win improvement is huge and I really don't think they did that. Maybe if Reddish or Hunter really breaks out.

Off topic.....I see the Lakers and Mavs are on Christmas Day (to be expected), Zion is on Christmas Day against the Heat (understand that) but HOW IN THE HELL does a Warrior team (15-50 last year) without KD and no Klay (just Curry and Draymond) rate a Christmas Day showing before teams like Portland, Denver, Philly or Boston? This is why I can't stand the NBA.....it's the same with the NFL. Why do the Cowboys as bad as they are keep getting nationally televised games?

It’s all about the money. I bet the TV partners picked out the teams they wanted to see. Even though the Warriors were bad last year, they have star power in Curry and they are in a big market.

I'm sorry but Portland, Denver and Boston have more star power than the Warriors right now (bigger market though). I hope to God the Warriors get blown out by 30 points leaving a big egg on the NBA's holiday face

I hope the Warriors are pretty good this season so they don't get another top 5 pick.
I'll be rooting for them to win games..since they have 0 change to win anything anyways.

They still have the T'Wolves Top 3 protected pick so you just know they're going to pick 4th and come out with one of Suggs/Green/Kuminga. Their pick is top 20 protected (OKC trade for Oubre) so they could just mail it in again if they're not a contender.

I blame the Nets for doing a sign-and-trade for KD when they could've just signed him outright instead creating additional assets for the Warriors (Warrior turned a top 20 protected pick in the KD/DLo swap into a top 3 protected pick).

Oh boy, LeBron signed a 2 year max extension with the Lakers. Hopefully that rules out that retirement tour for good.
He's hoping he'll be around when Bronny comes into the league so he can persuade the Lakers to use their late pick on his son (he said a couple of years ago his dream was to play with his son)

If we are some middle of the road team, I could see Gilbert wanting to draft Bronny to try to get Lebron to come back for his retirement tour. It would basically be a sell out every night to see LeBron's last season.

I still don’t think Gilbert likes LBJ that much and I don’t believe he would embrace a farewell tour. But I do believe Gilbert would draft him to prevent the Lakers from getting him therefore kicking sand in LBJ’s face for leaving a second time AND winning another title!

I personally disagree, no inside information over the past few years, but I would not be surprised if LBJ is the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers in a decade. They are two strong alpha males who respect the hell out of each other.

Since I live in DC I am kind of glad about the Westbrook-Wall trade. Real shame to lose Wall, he has been great for the team and the community, but I don't think he will ever be the player he was and the player he was wasn't as good as Westbrook to start with.

Russ is not a guy whose playing style is conducive to a lot of team success, but it's a whole lot more fun to be able to watch him than anyone else we had in DC, games were kind of depressing and now hopefully that will be over. Now if we could just get over the pandemic so I could bring my kid to games in person again...

Yeah i don't think this trade tips de scale much for either team, but the Wizards will be more entertaining. Maybe a bit better, but i feel like they won't be THAT much better than if they had a healthy Wall. They'll get more wins, but they'll still be a low PO seed at best i think.
