What do you think of RJ?

I like RJ though I worry a little about his ceiling as a player. But given how he is surrounded by almost no shooting, it’s remarkable how well he’s generated offense. He has a gift for creating offense amongst a swarm of defenders. He’s never going to be a world class athlete, but he plays with a deliberate pace. And his game is more multi-faceted than I expected it to be. He’s pretty much the only reason to tune into Knicks games.

2. Dolan ordered Mills to make that statement.

I wouldn't rule out #2.

I think it is obvious that Mills should be fired. They totally mishandled the Durant thing especially Dolan himself. You can't criticize a coach like that who you just hired and miss out on all the free agents, and Firesale your best player while hurt and expect the team to get better.

I'm not sure they even have the pieces we would need for KLove. Simmons is very intriguing but I'm not sure they move him. Little is a project and not sure we would like another total project at the moment with KPJ. Also not sure they will want to move picks. Overall I'm not sure what they can offer for KLove that would get Altman to accept the deal.

Even if they do offer Simmons + Little + Filler I'm not sure Cavaliers bite. We need young bigs in the worst way to grow with Garland, Sexton, Osman, KPJ, Windler. Blazers just don't have youth at the positions we need. It would be a tough sell for them to get a package together in my opinion.

The question is, do they have any assets at all to make a move? Hard to see what value they have to use in trades considering how much they gave up for AD.

Would likely have to be a buyout. Or trade picks late in the 2020s. But when you have AD and Lebron you do that. As we have seen, picks can be acquired...Windler, KPJ, etc.

Yep. The PG13/Kawhi Clippers are totally comparable to the 14-15 Knicks. Great post.

Of course it's just 1 game, first game of the season, etc...I just don't see how the Lakers match-up with the Clippers in a 7 game series and win 4 of them. Kawhi has also always given LeBron absolute fits in the playoffs. Their lack of a secondary ball-handler is going to be a disaster when they have to go against PG/Beverley/George hawking the perimeter.

If the Lakers and Clippers play a relatively healthy series I'll bet pretty much whatever amount you'd like to RCF that the Clippers win. Better team, better roster.
