I’d be really surprised if AD left the Lakers this summer almost regardless of what happens this season. This isn’t a Kawhi in Toronto situation. AD demanded specifically to be trade to the Lakers, whereas Kawhi made it absolutely clear he only wanted to be in LA. AD is already getting more attention nationally for his greatness than he ever did before. Every arena they play in they have tons of Lakers fans cheering him. That’s the advantage of playing for the Lakers. And we are talking about a guy that has never been on a legitimate contender before and has said multiple times how the losing in New Orleans wore on him. It’s obviously early but the Lakers have the best record in the West and at the very least look like contenders. He’s not going to leave that to join a Bulls team that could easily miss the playoffs in the East. At least not this summer.

Thinking AD will leave is mostly wishful thinking, imo. Things would have to go drastically wrong for that to happen. LA is where he wanted to be. He's averaging 29/12 with a career high in shots and free throw attempts. He's going to be living at the line this year with the favorable Laker whistle. Not committing is classic Klutch/LeBron leverage tactic. I'm not sure why more don't realize that after living through it all those years with LeBron.

As for the Bulls comment, what do people want him to say? He was talking to a group of kids in a Chicago classroom. It's like when you're talking to someone and they say "we should hangout soon." You know you're not going to do it. You just don't want to be rude.

Wendell Carter Jr. looking good, Garland not...

I’ve randomly been enjoying watching Charlotte play this season. Possible because I have guys on that squad on my fantasy team. But they’ve been weirdly fun to watch.

Wade was a bad fit with Lebron, and also started to fall apart pretty quickly physically soon after Lebron came over. 2011 Wade was not as good as 2009 Wade, and then by the 2012 playoffs and after Wade was just a shadow of what he was at his peak, plagued by chronic knee problems.

Kyrie was a tremendous fit with Lebron on the offensive end, probably the best offensive fit he has ever played with. AD on the other hand is a far better defensive fit and a good offensive fit, so there's a good argument that he will be overall his best partner ever. On the other hand, like Wade and Kyrie he is physically fragile so we'll see if he holds up through the playoffs.

I dunno I think people kinda misremember 2010-2011 Wade. He was Still a top 5 player and was better than LeBron in the Finals.

After that the decline started.

Wade was there with the likes of LeBron, Chris Paul, and probably peak Dwight. All guys who could get any team to the playoffs at that time. No matter who was on their team. (Maybe not Dwight.) The 2008 and 2009 Heat were dog shit except for him.

I dunno if AD is that guy that can take any group of losers to 47 wins and the playoffs.

Spurs showing no particular interest in 3-pointers this season, but nonetheless running a pretty efficient offense and winning games.

Pretty crazy how quickly Whiteside has gone from borderline max guy to a guy who’s probably worse on the court than an average G League center. He’s just so so bad. He was never particularly good at anything but he was just big and long and got blocks and dunks despite not really playing well on D or O but now he can’t even do that

Not this summer.

But I would not be surprised to see a 1 year deal. I dunno if hes gonna commit past LeBron.

Finish up on the topic of Wade but 2008 you can make a case he was thr best player that season.

Had the Heat not been surrounding him with scraps (which he got to the playoffs) and they won 50+ games he may have won MVP that year. He had the highest USG in the league that year.
