I think the Bucks have been the best team in the NBA thus far

I mean, what if the Raptors
The Bucks honestly look better.

Brogdon is really good but he was never gonna be able to sbow that there with all those other guys handling the ball. I think Milwaukee would be even better if they had kept Brogdon and let Bledsoe go, but looking at them now, keeping both probably made no sense.

So the loss of him, it appears, is somewhat minimal and theyve managed to find something with Divencenzo. While he diesnt fully replace what Brogdon did, Giannis beaing even better than last year is more than making up for it.

I guess what I'm wondering about is, like, are they meaningfully better to the point where a team with the type of talent and versatility the Raptors have won't be able to implement the same gameplan they used before? and if that isn't the case are they more flexible and can they implement a different gameplan to counter the type of match up Toronto represents?

The Bucks look fucking really good, maybe even better than last year. But I don't see a more adaptable team that are able to counter the type of defense Toronto will be able to throw at them. If they still have that one rigid way of utilizing their talent I still think they're susceptible to get beat by a team like Toronto.

After seeing how Bledsoe looked in the playoffs last year, I do think the Bucks will pay a price for choosing him over Brogdon...I really couldn't understand that choice.

Lakers feasted on crappy teams during their 10 game win streak. I figured they would get their come-uppance during this Dallas-Utah-Denver stretch of games, but I didn't think it would happen so quick. Expect they will come back to earth over the next month,

The Lakers beat Dallas during that win streak as well as Utah prior to that, but let's not let facts get in the way of our agendas here at good ol' RCF!

Nope - they (barely) beat the Mavs before starting that win streak, which only began after they lost to the Raptors a few games after they beat Dallas.

Lakers just do not have that many impressive wins so far. If you look at clear playoff teams (say, top six in standings in either division, so top 12 in the league), their record is just 3-3. Wins over Heat, Mavs, Jazz, losses to Clips, Raptors, Mavs. Otherwise they have been bottom feeding big time. It’s the NBA so 14-0 over lower level teams is still very impressive, but those just aren’t the quality of teams they will face in the playoffs

Lakers are good, but not great. I think Mavs are very good, younger and still able to upgrade..

That said Clippers with George and Leonard are maybe the best in the NBA right this minute..

Heat has been surprising, raps, Boston all will challenge Milwaukee..

76 ers, disapoint me. They should be more dominant, which means I think they stall out..

Nets would be really good if Durant and Kyrie were actually able to play, but I think some younger teams may overtake them before they hit all cylinders..

The Nets will be fine once KD gets back, but without him, I think Kyrie makes them worse.

The thing is the Bucks dont have to beat Toronto+Kawhi this year.

And imo they matchup extremely well with Philly. Theyve got two above average low post defenders in the Lopez brothers who can wear Embiid down.

Now, Horford was a pretty good move because hes shown he has been able to effectively guard Giannis for stretches. But if you can keep Embiid from averaging 30+, its hard to see where Philly gets enough consistent scoring from to win over 7 games.

Ive got Giannis as the MVP again.

I know Harden might cry about it, but same as last year, Giannis impact on both ends makes his team truly elite. His stamina is LBJesque and probably his greatest quality. He can go all out almost all the time and stay healthy. It's what makes him a better bet in the playoffs over Embiid, who tires out.

Nets were 4-7 with Kyrie before his shoulder injury, have been 6-3 since with some impressive wins

Don't look now but Carmelo Anthony is averaging 17.7 / 6 / 2 on a 54.3% True Shooting percentage (his best since 2013) and the Blazers are winning again. Still a bad defender but you can't have everything.

Lakers have had the 3rd easiest schedule. Interestingly Mavs have the same point differential on a harder schedule. Cavs have had the hardest schedule of the 3, which explains our record. Lol

It's not easy to unload a bloated contract without giving up the precious few assets a contender has to improve. If you saw that Bledsoe was slipping, so did the other 29 GMs.
