Remember Barnes was their weakness when we beat them. Yes Wiggins can play that role :)

Lebron took a MAJOR hit this trade deadline with Marcus Morris to the Clippers.

It never made sense to me for the Lakers to trade multiple rotation players for Marcus Morris. He’s better right now than Kyle Kuzma but not better than Kuzma and Danny Green as was being rumored. I also don’t think he helps the Clippers as much as people think. He’s a good addition in the sense that they kept him away from the Lakers, but the Clippers already have two players who do what Morris does better than he does. I’m not sure he would play in crunch time as a five against the Lakers as he’s too short to bother Davis. Nor can the Clippers play him as a four in crunch time unless they want to sit one of Sweet Lou or Beverly. He will help their load managing though.

My western conference team, the grizz, really killed it this trade deadline. Bell, Dieng, and Winslow for basically Crowder and Iggy is such a good deal. And it’s a pipe dream but there’s a chance that they can turn Dion around the way they did with ZBo (extremely unlikely)

Old ass Kidd could probably give better minutes than Rondo at this point.

Then some talking heads wanted to see a Rose reunion... as if that experiment had previously never been attempted.

I know he's a lesser-known guy for casual NBA fans, but does anyone have thoughts on Jarred Vanderbilt with the Timberwolves?

Was a top recruit, made for the NBA. Big foward with a ton of strength. Top tier rebounding that theoretically should be able to defend multiple positions. Can grab & go pretty well for his size. Has some great coordination and is an above average passer at his position.

He broke his foot in college which really sent him down draft boards from the start.

I ask this because Minnesota is ~ $1.3m above the tax currently with a full roster. If the Cavs were to call them up and ensure them of a Vanderbilt wavier claim, that would get Minny under the tax. The Cavs have an open roster spot and would still be below the tax line I believe (Exum has some bonuses in his contract that I'm unsure of the details on).

I'm unsure if Minny would be willing to lose Vanderbilt to get under the tax, but I think it's worth inquiring. The same can be done with Omari Spellman, though he has $2m guaranteed for next season and has already gotten a DNP-CD with the Wolves.

I have no idea why the Clippers would sign Waiters. They can find a better use of a roster spot for their team.

Lakers are looking like they are coming down to earth. After starting the season 24-3, they are 15-9 since December 15th, with a sub-.500 record against playoff teams, and 5-4 since AD returned to the lineup. And that is without resting Lebron at all. No help coming from buyouts, nothing at the trade deadline.

You and all the other jilted LeBron exes can rub your palms at every perceived Lakers shortcoming during the regular season...but if they roll into the playoffs healthy then LeBron and AD are going to be a bear for any opponent, period.
