9th finals trip in the past 10 years. 38/16/10. GOAT James.
Lebron is lucky to have Davis. He is like 10 levels above Love.
Crazy to think Kyrie will be by far the worst 2nd option LeBron has won a title with, in terms of total body of work - although individual-season performance puts his title season close with starting-to-decline-Wade in 2013.
I don't know man.
I always go back to this but the year prior (09-10) there's a real good case to be made Dwayne Wade was the 2nd best player in basketball that season.
The first year LeBron joined, Wade was still really, really good. Maybe not as good as Davis is now. But....not far off. I think people just remember they didn't fit perfectly together. But Wade was a beast that 1st year. And he tried to carry LeBron in the Finals.
When you combine fit and talent Davis is a much better match for LBJ. Possibly the best defensive big man in the league with top multi-level offensive skills so he can leave the paint open is ideal for Lebron. Plus Wade was beginning his sharp decline in 2010-11. Put it this way - Davis is the first player in Lebron’s career where there’s even a shadow of a hint of a doubt who the most valuable player on the team is
Lebron has now been the best player on 10 Finals teams out of 17 total seasons in the league, insane! The 2003-2010 Cleveland front office is the only force to ever stop him!

If we didn't get backstabbed by Loozer and didn't do the welsh and Pavlovic deals
We would have had Z, Boozer, Lebron, Fernandez and Dudley. Better star players and better role players - just fucking brutal. I think the title takes away the pain but Paxson's ineptitude remains one of the most staggering failures in NBA history.
I mean, while it pissed me off, it’s hard for me to be mad at Boozer. Be mad at the incompetent FO that thought they’d save a few dollars on his next contract by letting him become a free agent early. He was still under contract for another year and would’ve been and RFA after that. We let him become unrestricted and Utah offered him a shit load of money.
The wildest thing to me is that LeBron, after three rounds, has only played 40 mpg or more twice in these playoffs. In 2018 he averaged 42 mpg for the entire playoffs. Somehow the Lakers have put together a team that not only doesn’t completely collapse when LeBron sits, but can actually increase/build leads while he sits. He’s only gone super saiyan a few times in these playoffs.
Nothing beats game 3 in the 2017 finals when LeBron was a +7 in 46 minutes and the Warriors won by 5 It felt like we could rarely ever afford for him to get even a few minutes on the bench.Lakers are still 16 points per 100 better with LeBron on the court in the playoffs this year. For most players that would be considered off the charts, but for LeBron it's actually less extreme than we're accustomed to
