2019-2020 Cavaliers fantasy trade thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Orlando, forever disappointing, forever giving out contracts to fringe players hoping they turn out to be stars.

Can't shoot. Can't score. Have invested a lot of money into this team.

By far Johnathon Isaac is the most interesting prospect on that team.

But they've got others. Fultz, Bamba. And they own their draft picks.

Maybe this opens up the door for Portland to make a move.

Carmelo was thier bargain basement move. Got pretty much what love would offer for cheap.. if they are looking for anything it will be a wing..

I am wondering if Minny makes a move. They are teetering on average and could be much improved by TT.. I am thinking TT for dieng and a Minny first, maybe Noah V or Bates Diop as a throw in..

Denver could trade Jerami Grant, Plumlee and MPJ, if they're so inclined. Money works.

I'd take that trade for sure, Plumlee is expiring, Grant is still young and a nice underrated player anyway and MPJ is a wing prospect (with so few in this upcoming draft).

Don't know though if teams would want to actually trade for Love at this point? Contract is one thing, but his zero defense is just such an unattractive thing.

Phoenix has the pieces to put something together for Love if they want him,,,Tyler Johnson salary,,Saric or Kaminsky,,,are 2 pieces the cavs could look at,,Mikal Bridges/Okobo,,Draft picks.

Mikal Bridges would be a nice get. Doubt they wanna deal Saric. Kaminisky would be better then some current options we have up front. Okobo isn't good or needed. Not sure they will be willing to deal picks right now. After a hot start They went back to shit.

I can't see Minny being a trade partner. If it's a 2020 pick, that would at minimum be top-10 protected, if not lotto protected. Minny would currently have the 7th pick in the draft if the season ended today. Anything 2021 would probably be lotto protected as well.

If we're moving TT, we'll get a better offer than taking back bad salary and a heavily protected pick that might never pay off. I'd rather trade for a 1st that's going to wind up in the 18-30 range of this year draft. With how TT's played so far I don't know why we can't get that.

So this is the fantasy thread. But I am thinking that OKC is pretty good and has a lot of assets. Paul is their terrible contract. I am wondering if they make sense for a love trade, involving Love and Sexton , for Paul, Bazley and Noel and a couple of firsts. I am not really sure OKC wants sexton as they have both SGA and Schroeder, but they might flip him for something else more useful.

But I think they are better with Love in any case. I am just not sure Love is enough to pull a trigger.

Thompson + Delly to Toronto for Marc Gasol + Lottery Protected 1st Round Pick ?

Gasol looks washed up this year. Thompson is a plug and play piece for a team in contention. Thompson also has ties with Toronto, and may stay at a discount.

Both players are expiring, so this could net a decent pick and save a few dollars.

I don't see Garland and Sexton as being compatible long term. Garland seems to have much better PG skills.
Somewhere I heard a rumour that the Knicks had an interest in Sexton.
How about Sexton for RJ Barrett.
They were both high 1st round picks.
Sexton could be a fan favorite at the garden.
The Cavs get a wing with a high ceiling. Which we could use.

Knicks wouldn't do that. And neither would I. Barrett is a dumpster fire not built for the modern NBA and made it clear he wanted to be in NY he deserves to rot.

This would be such an awful trade for Minny. If they were trading KAT, I'd have to imagine they could get significantly higher value than a declining, overpaid Love, expiring money, a 6th man, a 2020 pick they aren't likely to get, a pick swap they probably don't use, and (barring a Giannis injury or departure) a late 2022 1st.

The Cavs apparently have an interest in Andre Drummond. Drummond has 2 years left on his contract. He could be the big man we need after TT walks, or is traded.
We would need to give some expiring contracts like Knight and maybe Delly. But maybe this is where we move Sexton.
