As it stands right this second the Cavs definitely need a trade or two to balance the roster.

They have like five bigs and six guards who all want to play, but only 3 wings with two of those being rookies.

I would probably start...

Garland/Sexton/Osman/Nance/Love if the season began today.
Agreed. The more I think about it, this summer is the time to move Kevin Love. He’s going to turn 31 before the season starts and his value is only going to go down from here. Additionally, playing Love, is only going to hurt our draft positioning and our 2020 pick, once again, goes to Atlanta if it falls outside the top 10 .

With the injuries to KD & Klay, other teams see an opening out West and multiple teams, like OKC, Portland, & the Clippers, could make an aggressive play for Love. I can also see the Celtics coming after him and they have a bunch of draft picks to offer.

With teams looking to shake up their roster this summer, now is the time to strike...

How are some of these veterans going to get much playing time,,,Delly/Henson/Tristan/Clarkson/Knight?
We want some of these guys to have some value going into the deadline they have to play.
With all the young players that are going to need time,,how does Knight ever get any time?
Not much to do about it now but could be some unhappy vets for the new coach this season.

Good question. It wouldn’t surprise me if Windler and Porter spent some time in the G-league early in the season and, after some roster moves are made, they are brought up for the second half of the season. I think that would be best for their development as well.

I think Koby will try to dump them thru out the season like he did with Hill/Korver and not all at the deadline. Henson/TT and Clarkson/Knight could have the same roles, one can start out with alot of playing time then get traded then the other take his role till the deadline. I think the Cavs want Delly as a mentor for Sexton and Garland. I expect them to keep him for a couple years.

It wouldn’t not take a good offer to get tt. At all. We’d trade him for nothing if we could.
No we wouldn't because it would require taking on an additional year of big salary. That's asking to take up to about $25M for 20/21 season on.

We'd trade him for nothing to trim the salary maybe. We won't trade him for nothing to take on an extra $25M of salary for a year.

Honestly... I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if Windler is a starter for Beilein by December.

Yeah; I think if he's not getting significant NBA minutes from the get go (20 minutes+) it is because there are too many contracts in the way. Imo, he's the most NBA ready easily. Windler backing up Cedi is what should happen and we don't need Osman (or any other player) playing 40 minutes per game like what happened last year at times.

What we know about Beilein is that he values scoring from all areas with good distance shooting to space the floor which seems to imply he is not going to want players like:

Nwaba
Clarkson who gets a gold star in this list because he is an inefficient chucker and ball hog which is the polar opposite of what Beilein wants
Adel
Even Cedi Osman's shooting from distance is borderline yet
Knight also

These are just the guard/small forward players.

I could also see the Cavs bringing Garland along more slowly due to him not playing for quite some time and the injury - at least for the first half of the season. Porter Jr. is the one I can see spending time in the G League to start the season if none of the above players are moved on from.

Okay, so this is the roster heading into training camp, as far as I've gathered. The bolded are the guys under contract, the italics are guys vying for a spot.

Centers: Tristan Thompson, Ante Zizic, John Henson, Marques Bolden (Exhibit10)
Power Forwards: Kevin Love, Larry Nance Jr., Jarell Martin (Non-Guaranteed), Dean Wade (Two-Way)
Wings: Cedi Osman, Dylan Windler, Daniel Hamilton (Exhibit10)
Guards: Collin Sexton, Kevin Porter Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Knight, Sindarius Thornwell (Non-Guaranteed), JP Macura (Exhibit 10)
Point Guards: Darius Garland, Matthew Dellavadova, Alex Robinson (Partial or Non-Guaranteed)

The guard situation, I think, will look a lot different by the end of the season. I think we'll definitely move at least one of Clarkson or Knight, hopefully both. I think Thornwell probably makes the team and ends up being a third guard/wing when it's all said and done. This roster is going to look a lot different at the start of the 20-21 season, that's all I'm certain of. Hopefully we have a fun and interesting year and some of these guys become fan favorites and stay with us as we build this thing. Thoughts?

Varejao said he would welcome coming back to the Cavs.

One of the worst things about the chip was that AV didn't get a ring after all of that, and Sasha Kaun did.

Hope we make it happen...that would be awesome. Played really well at the world cup with per-40 averages of 18 points, 12.5 boards, and 3.2 assists. Highlights:
