2019 Around the MLB

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Astros winning 23-2. Now Aaron Sanchez is unhittable. Have they lost a game since those trades? I just dont understand how these pitchers go there and all suddenly become Pedro Martinez. Boy nothing would make me happier than if we somehow beat their ass in the Playoffs. There is just something fishy with that team.
Sanchez's line was mediocre considering it was Baltimore. Astros hitting lineup combined with the top of their rotation is ridiculous though. The good thing about baseball is those 5 game series where the powerhouses can get knocked out with a bit of luck.

I did say Sanchez got something to click in his last start for Toronto. From what I know they have pitchers cut out stuff like 2-seam fastball and they may be part of the reason why. They also do go after top end pitching talent so it’s not like these are random scrubs.

Yeah, but the last time he pitched he pitched a 6 inning no hitter. I just hate that team. The suspicious camera guy last year in the Playoffs that got swept under the rug. Just too many weird things with that team.

Justin Verlander was a corpse his last couple years in Detroit. He goes down there and immediately hes tossing two hitters with 10 ks a game. I dont know Coach, something in the water down there in Houston.

His numbers aren’t too different that switching to a winning organization and modifying his pitch selection would explain his change around. When you add motivation to a great pitcher then you usually get a better results from a veteran pitcher. I get what you are saying, but the fact they go after specific talent and everything I believe people are looking way too much into it. Verlander is a Hall of Fame talent and always has been.

Just because you're a Hall of Fame pitcher doesn't mean you don't cheat.

Signed,
Gaylord Perry

Verlander has an average fastball velocity of 94.5 this year, 95.0 last season, and 95.3 in 2017 after joining Houston.

He was floating around 92-93 MPH the previous few seasons in Detroit.

It's odd for a guy that is entering his mid-late 30s to add that kind of velocity after a decline in his early 30s.

I thought his velocity was down right before he got traded. I will never believe something fishy isnt going on down there. If it was one player turning his career around i could roll with it. But its every player that goes there. Wade Miley.....come on.

Bauer's up and down season looks like an elbow issue. Statistically, I mean.

Trout just set his career high in homeruns. Dude is unreal (and great for my fantasy team).
I have him in my money league. He’s 10 points behind Belinger in overall points. Too bad he isn’t on a playoff caliber team, he’d be fun to watch.

First four picks for my team were Trout, Lindor, Verlander and Bellinger. Killed it.

Agreed though, absolute disgrace that they haven’t been able to surround him with a good team.
