Now I know damn well y'all didn't think that we were too good for this thread. I'll get it started with some positive stuff.

Myles Garrett is so unblockable he's a walking penalty every play. they guy is held damn near ever play and that's no exaggeration.

Sheldon Richardson was really good today and he was all over the field.

Ogunjobi had a really solid game. Overall our D-Line played the best out of all of our position groups.

Chubb needs more carries. Especially on first down.

Kirksey stepped up and made some plays when the defense needed him too but the penalties and big plays by TEN wiped them out.

KR and PR was as good as it's been in years. A bunch of positive return yards.

The Hammer was good but I don't like seeing our punter on the field that much. That's usually a bad sign.

That missed extra point was an omen of things to come.
Makes me think if we do get it together and are in some close games we gotta find a kicker.
Does anyone have a good feeling about Seibert? Probably not need #1 but still.

The bad........

Baker got beat the hell up. We just can't let him get beat up like that.

The timing with Baker and OBJ is still off. Not enough live game action with them yet. Might be a few more weeks until they are in sync and even with all of that OBJ went for 7/70.

Baker threw a few heaters at Njoku that either had too much touch on them or Baker was trying to throw it past Njoku and to the second level of the defense.

Chris Hubbard is the weakest link on the O-Line. Not Greg Robinson or the revolving door at RG. It's Hubbard and it's been him for a while now. Can G. Rob play RT? If so put Trent Williams and Rt and move G. Rob to RT. I don't think Hubbard can slide in at RG or can he? Regardless he's a problem on the outside.

Denzel Ward was beat more than once on deep balls in space....I'm just not sure if this is more on Ward or the scheme *cough Steve Wilks

Penalties. Honestly from my perspective sitting in the crowd there were multiple momentum shifting calls that we got shafted on. The OBJ offensive PI was bullshit. The missed call on the Henry screen. The play where Baker escaped and they blew it dead was bullshit. Several petty holding calls on our TE's while missing multiple holds by their O-line in their backfield. A lot of our O-Line penalties I put on the line being totally reshuffled. I didn't see anything too alarming that I don't think can be fixed. The players and coaches being in sync in the post game pressers backs this up.

Monken is not calling the plays but he is in the booth because Freddie said that's where he could help him best. I think if you're gonna put Monken in the booth then he needs to call plays while Freddie manages the game. I don't think anyone is gonna come down on Freddie if he announces tomorrow that Monken will call the plays from the booth going forward.

Hoped for once there weren't going to be massive concerns about coaching, but here we are the first evening of the season and I'm already wondering if Kitchens is in way over his head.

If you're gonna trade for Trent Williams it has to be tomorrow. He can practice Wednesday and we get an extra day since we play The Jets on Monday. When we cut Hubbard after this season that will offset some of the new money we have to give to Trent Williams. If G. Rob can play RT then that's really what we should be trying to do right now.

I hate Chris Hubbard. He was a headache last year too with his stupid penalties. Sign Matt kalil and try him out there. Can’t be worse.

I think it's him having the play calling responsibilities and having the only other guy who can call the plays sitting upstairs. So when shit starts going south Monken is a non factor.

It's one game, so let's give them the mulligan and see how week 2 goes. You can't start 0-2 and expect to make the playoffs with 4 games again Baltimore and Pittsburgh. My biggest worry is I was asking myself if Hue Jackson coached this team if they would have won? Not good for the Freddie the redneck.

Higgins also had another knee injury today. Ratley played the majority of his snaps today. We're already short Callaway until week 5. I love Hollywood but he's had a few knee injuries now.

Wasn’t good whatsoever.

We bounce back against the as jets next week no doubt.

September is the new pre season.
