This is the way it is now I guess...when a kid leaves for the NFL, teams will have to go find a free agent to replace him
This is also the reason why a coach needs to at least fake that they are going to give all their QBs the chance to compete to start.

String a guy like Tate Martell along and maybe we could hold off from Baldwin thinking he is ready to start somewhere else.

It's crazy how stacked we thought we were just a year ago. We lose Burrows to transfer. Haskins exceeds expectations and goes to the NFL. Fields rumors start swirling and Dwan Mathis decommits. Tate then transfers when Fields commits. Now we are going to lose Baldwin.

I never thought Chugunov was going to have a chance at any sort of playing time. Now he is going to be the backup QB. Redshirt Freshman walk on, Vanatsky, is going to be 3 string QB.

Maybe it's time for Day to hit up Danny Clark and see if he wants to come back to Columbus.

I thought it was 2 years and you can declare for the NFL... I guess I am wrong... Thank you
Three years of school, which could be two of game action if you take a redshirt.

I thought it was a good move to get this kid as a walk on. Even if they felt they could have given him a scholarship now, getting him as a walk on shouldn't effect any future QB prospect. If he improves and earns the backup spot, he can also earn a scholarship then. I think it's important to keep Jack Miller committed.

I agree they should still be looking for a grad transfer.

Hartline is awesome. Hope he hangs around OSU for a few more years, but if he keeps recruiting like that, I could see some random school offering him a promotion somewhere else.
