2019 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Yes, please!

I saw these posts as well and I'm excited.

It was really dumb of them not to go back to the old gray sleeve stripes full time after our last title run. Our current home jerseys don't even have gray in them (not that we look bad). I do enjoy the 68 throwbacks with the black TV numbers, but I kinda hope if they go to them full time it's back to the Eddie George/Archie Griffin classics with white TV numbers.

It's not a good idea to make a habit of saving jerseys for big games. You could end up with a horrible design becoming elevated and becoming too much of the identity (Cavs black sleeved jerseys...) or end up getting a great design associated with a big loss (we wore this throwback/alt set against Clemson last time and MSU when they walked us off).

My hope: full time gray sleeves, one alternate per year (either throwback or black out preferred).

Also, I loved how in 2014 the jerseys have Buckeye leaves on the back neck for each national title. They should return to that instead of having the word "Buckeyes" printed there instead.

Yes! I've been calling for this ever since they got rid of the gray in 2006. Annoys the hell out of me that our uni's looks the same as every other generic red uni (Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc).

Yes, the National Championship uni's are, IMO, the best Buckeye uni's ever. By far, too. Those were just amazing. I'm pumped we are going back to them for the playoff and are hopefully keeping them long term.

I've neglected buying a jersey for so long because the lack of a gray sleeve. I'm still rocking a Stanley Jackson jersey :chuckle:

If they bring the gray sleeve back, I'll buy one immediately.

Eh making grey a significant color is weird

If Justin Fields is healthy, has a better knee against clemson they have no shot to us beat IMO. I watched the last 2 weeks of a hobbled Fields and he still got the job done. Justin Fields is the scariest player i have ever seen when healthy......I assumed, at first that he was a better passing QB at first but then saw how electric he was with his legs and without them at times.... OSU has to punch to Clemson in the face and ward off a comeback......

Clemson is an absolutely terrifying matchup for OSU; OSU runs so much zone read which is predicated on getting to the boundary a lot; Clemson has absurd athleticism on the front 7 which will probably take a lot of it away. Further, even if Fields is healthy, he holds the ball a long time and the offensive line has been awful at pass protection against delayed blitzes and DL stuns; again, this will be even more pronounced with absurd athleticism up front.

Further, Cephus was wrecking our secondary albeit without Okudah but Clemson has two of the best receivers in the country. Higgins is out of control and Justyn (can’t remember his last name) is basically another Cephus but I’m glad Wade has time to get well. This is without even mentioning Etienne dude.

“No shot against us” is just a riduculous sentiment; everyone says OSU is the best team Clemson will have faced, but the inverse is profoundly true.

If we have a lackluster or just downright awful start like we did against Wisconsin, I’d bet my balls Clemson shuts the door and this turns into 2006 real quick.

Agreed with all of this. Fuck this matchup. Can’t stomach losing to those guys living down here..
