2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A man to man scheme? I think we should try to sign Chris Harris Jr and Eric Weddle. Harris wants to play in the slot next season. I think Weddle would be a good veteran presence back there to go along with a rookie Safety. He'd be a nice stop gap for a guy like Delpit.

How does this sound?

Ward
Greedy
Harris Jr
Weddle
Delpit
I think a defense that plays a 4-2-5 mixing man and cover 2 with disguised blitzes. Honestly, something not dissimilar to what New England, Tennessee, Miami, etc. run.

Our best defensive players are a coverage corner and a dominant EDGE. Build a scheme around those two.

sounds great but Harris is gonna want 10M

Give it to him. He's still one of the best players in the game. That money would'v been going to Randall had he performed well. Give it to Harris Jr and bring in Eric Weddle on a 2 year veteran friendly deal. I still am seriously on board with drafting Delpit though. I think there's enough depth at OT in this draft to go with another position with our first pick. If we go at a position other than OT I want Delpit or Simmons. I don't think Simmons makes it to #10 though. I think Delpit does.

I think we can get Kirksey back on a team friendly deal. He would be a good rotational piece with Schobert (re-signed) and Wilson.

If they don’t go after Harris, I would also like to see the team lockup Carrie as their slot corner - a place where he has been very, very good over the last few seasons.

I can only see this happening if Dorsey is back......

Ward had up and down moments this year, but when he was healthy, he was pretty great for the most part.

Overall, he wasn't as great as last year, but still very good and certainly still a great draft pick.

And it's interesting when people knock Ward on his injuries when the guy who people wanted to draft instead of him missed the whole season with an injury.

Yep. Pretty easy to see the agendas.

Wrong thread.

At least Dorsey left behind those building blocks.
