2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mike McCarthy could walk in here and win 8 games next season. All the talk against McCarthy was his failure to adjust his offense and boy does that look like a weak ass excuse now. Bring him in. Let him coach. He's a damn good coach. I'd take Jim Harbaugh after McCarthy. I'd take Josh McDaniels before either of them but I don't see him as a realistic option. At least not yet. I don't know what to believe with him after that stunt in Indy.

I don't want a college coach with no NFL head coaching experience. I don't care if it's Lincoln Riley. I don't want a college coach with no NFL HC experience. Just give me a former NFL HC and a good defensive coordinator. I'd take Jim Schwartz with McCarthy.
The whole issue with Freddie is his inability to adjust the offense. I want someone who is going to adapt to Baker's tendencies, otherwise we're gonna get more seasons like this year and last year. Baker isn't gonna change, so bring in a guy that gets the most out of him.

Baltimore did it with LJ, the Browns just need the right guy. Might as well just rebuild around a different QB if you want a coach that's gonna make Baker play a style he's horrible at

Football shouldnt exist. Humans could have been taken out by a meteor that just missed us a few hundred thousand years ago. Could easily be 0-0

Better than being beat twice by a backup QB.

Knew it wasn’t hard to defend against this team.

It isn't when they forget to play their best player more than six times in a half.

Or forget they have the rare luxury of not one, but two, explosive Pro-Bowl running backs with good hands and who can both break tackles and run like the wind in space.

Honestly, if we're going retread I'd look at Jim Caldwell. I thought what he did with the Lions was pretty solid and he's had some time as a coordinator since to reflect on his time there, which is usually a good thing for coaches after they get fired vs getting another HC job immediately. I think he'd be a pretty solid pickup, and I think he's a better coach than McCarthy.

Freddie Kitchens may well win 8 games this year, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Crennel, Pettine, Shurmur and Hue would all have this team at 7-5 or 6-6 at worst. If we play hard and play disciplined football for 4 quarters we beat the Steelers yesterday and would have wins vs the Seahawks and Rams. That puts us at 8-4 and the only reason we're not there is Freddie and his coaching staff. Better yet if we could've gotten the Ravens game effort all season who knows how many wins we'd have. They just don't play hard for this coach because they don't take him seriously. After games in the lockerroom when coach is talking 2/3 of the team isn't even paying attention. They don't respect him.

I feel like we are fetishizing past coaches just because of short term memory

Maybe Crennel, but no chance on Shurmer or Hue

Hue literally got fucking fired for taking essentially this same team and winning one out of eight games last year. Freddie hasn't been good, but he's light years better than Hue fucking Jackson and he's not a snake like Hue either.

Freddie has already won three times as many games as Hue did over two and a half seasons.

Mangini would be undefeated.

And if not undefeated he’d be leading the league in penalties and discipline. Professional organization believe that
