2019 Cleveland Browns Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think Smith was still over Thomas, but there were some encouraging signs.

Hopefully the injury isn't too bad, as a neck can last a while and be extremely dangerous. Disappointing because he absolutely dominated in that last game.

On a side note, I'm going to watch the PS game again tonight. I really want to see more of Lawrence, because he absolutely was dominating Thursday. If he and Coley can provide good backups to Richardson and Ogunjobi, the Browns have a really great defensive line.

A little disappointing that with Callaway out, D'Earnest Johnson lined up with Hilliard for kick return duties. I mean, what else does Sheehy have to do to get some reps as a returner?

Yesterday, was listening to 850 and they had Grossi on. He was saying what the Browns did, coming out in no huddle was unfair to the Redskins and you shouldn’t do that in the first preseason game in the first drive. Even Rizzo was taken back and asked “was Jay Gruden mad? Did he say something?”. Grossi said “well no, but you just don’t do that”.

And now it comes out, the Browns gave them heads up. How he is paid, actual money to give his opinion on sports, blows my mind. He even votes on the HOF.

Does he have blackmail material on the PD or something?

He's been a joke forever.

How does a guy like him 1) Get the job, 2) Keep the job, and 3) Not be let go using the rise of social media as an excuse?

Gosh, it would be amazing if Wilson turned out to be an outstanding LB.

With all the attention to the amazing D-Line and CBs, having a superb LB would be icing on the cake for this unit.

He seems to be doing really well as a coverage linebacker. Not sure what that means for him in terms of number of snaps in a base 4-2-5 defense, unless he basically plays the role of a glorified SS, and is counted as more of a db than an lb.

Still, even as a backup that's a really nice thing to have given how we got crushed by underneath routes when Schobert was out.

I love it. There was a scene on building the browns with 2 players on the sideline of the pre season game talking about how this doesn’t seem like their first game because of how often they’ve practiced in pads and they had practice again the next day.

Do you know what struck me the most about the status quo while re-watching Hard Knocks recently?

How comfortable Hue Jackson was with medicority and having won only one game in the past two season.

No one was moving with a purpose. Except Baker, and Greggg in some manic way.

Hue Jackson was supremely confident in sucking. Utterly amazing how he perceived the world.

This is what is so frustrating with Corbett. I see flashes in the run game where he has a mean streak. Here in pass protection he decides he wants to prove a point, get after it, and pancake two guys. I have no idea why he puts up so many inconsistent snaps whenever I watch him on the field where he stands with a wide base looking for someone to block while the pass rushers make their way to the quarterback. Offensive linemen need to hit somebody every play, no exceptions. He came across as a bit of a dork in the shuffleboard video. Don't care about that as much as a willingness to hit somebody on every play.
