2019 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Herpie should calm down with that pink suit.

They also called Blankenship a generational kicker.

UGA might have won if they had Ohio states QB.
UGA looking really stupid right now for choosing one season of Fromm over two seasons of Fields. And that's without even mentioning last season.

Emory making a nice play and Grimes scoring a TD. One guy was almost a Buckeye and the other was a Buckeye for a year

Minnesota is undefeated and unranked.

Ahead of them:

3-2 Texas AM with wins over Texas St, Lamar and Arkansas (who lost to San Jose St)
Memphis, whose best win is over Mississippi
SMU, whose best in is over 3-2 TCU
Wake Forest, whose best win is BC
And three of the four teams lose. SMU had a bye.

Curse is real.

LSU looks good, but I’d take the Buckeyes vs that defense.

Hard to say about OSU as it’s clear we truly haven’t played anybody. Nebraska, oof.

With how disgusting Sundays are becoming, I am feeling the need to get these out earlier, to help me forget how awful the Browns are.

Anyway, pertinent games of the week:

Ohio State @ NW - A lot of people had Nebraska as the "trap" this year. I think this game is way trappier. Coming off a bye, weird time, and NW is the exact type of opponent to suck early in the year then all of a sudden win 9 games (read here for more). NW probably shouldn't score more than 10 given how bad their offense has been.

Florida @ South Carolina - Florida is due for a hangover and South Carolina is riding high. 2 weeks ago, this looked like a blowout. Now...who knows?

Temple @ SMU - These teams are a combined 11-1 with 3 power 5 wins, yet might not even be in the top 3 in the AAU. Outside of Clemson, the AAU may be better than ACC.

Oregon @ Washington - Oregon is probably the last Pac12 playoff hopeful. A win by Oregon gives them a big cushion in the Pac12 North. A loss by Washington probably eliminates them from making the P12 Title game.

LSU @ Miss St - This might be the trappiest trap game that ever trapped. LSU is riding high, but going on the road playing a team that plays at one of the slowest paces in the country. LSU probably still wins, but could see this being an ugly one.

Arizona St @ Utah - If Oregon isn't the best P12 CFP hope, the winner of this game definitely is. However, unlike the North, the loser is still very much alive to win the division. Speaking of Utah...

Boise St @ BYU - Remember when Utah beat BYU and everyone was like "wow....Utah must be good for beating BYU". Welp, BYU is going to have to rally to make a bowl game. If they lose here, they are at 2-5 with games vs Utah St and San Diego St left.

Michigan @ Penn St - I do love how this is a "revenge" game every year. In 2016, Michigan trounced PSU, 49-10, before PSU got healthy and won the B1G. In 2017, under the lights in Happy Valley, PSU and Saquon Barkley got revenge by a score of 42-13. Then last year, gimpy Trace McSorely fell to the Revenge Tour (tm) by a score 42-7. It's back to a night game at Happy Valley. No idea how good PSU is. Both these teams had "ugly" wins over BTCOY Kirk Ferentz and Iowa, but PSU did so on the road. Both teams now entering the gauntlet portion of their schedule. After winning at Iowa, PSU schedule goes Michigan, @MSU, BYE, @ Minnesota, Indiana, @ OSU. Michigan goes @ PSU, Notre Dame, @Maryland, BYE, MSU, @ Indiana, OSU.

If south Carolina some how beats Florida do the other big 4 conferences throw them a party for knocking off 2 teams

Not watching, but seems like Wisconsin isn’t used to road games

Don't care what the score is, Clemson and Lawrence look very ordinary.
UCF the last two years was better - by the eye test AND the resume.

Clemson is not a top 4 team. And if they somehow manage to lose a game, should not even be considered for the playoff.

Hurts has 313 total yards and 4 tds on 23 total runs/passes
