2019 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just dont see how the big ten is not getting any love. I just have a hard time seeing 3 SEC teams as being better then OSU, and the SEC having 5 of the top 10. Just setting up like in years past when a SEC teams loses to another ranked team shows how hard the schedule is. I really wish they would push the SEC to go to a 9 game SEC scheudle and cut out one of the cupcakes. I dont feel the Big 10 gains anything from that 9th game, expect taking away a win from half the teams. If you replace that 9th game with a low level team like say WESTERN CAROLINA CATAMOUNTS (FCS school) that Alabama plays this year, I am pretty sure the big ten would be up there with the SEC in wins. Ohio State plays Wis, NW, & Neb this year, imagin if Wis was a FCS school.

There are 7 B1G teams ranked, most of any conference. I just hope the the committee gives us credit for the B1G being good.

Bc they play an extra game against each other it seems to be a detriment to the playoffs bc of extra loss.

Also doesn't help that the committee makes shit up on a year to year basis that also seems to disqualify a big 10 rep.

6 or 8 team is the next step. each major 5 gets a rep and then at larges. Might be another few years before this happens.

Games of Note on a crappy week:

Wazzu @ Houston - Mike Leach tends to schedule crap OOC, so kudos for going on the road to a good Group of 5 program.

Pitt @ Penn St - It's 2 power 5 teams in an interconference game. That qualifies as important this week.

Stanford @ UCF - Pac12 my not be good, kudos to Stanford for scheduling this game, too.

USC @ BYU - And again!

Iowa @ Iowa St - Closest thing to 2 ranked teams playing this week.

Arizona St @ MSU - MSU blew this game @ ASU last year. Keeping them and Maryland ranks "should" help OSU's SOS, so the committee will have to really work hard to screw us over this year.

Clemson @ Syracuse - If Clemson loses this game and doesn't win their division, they should be done from the CFP, unless everybody else has 2 losses.

Oklahoma @ UCLA - I will continue to give Pac12 props fro scheduling, 3 road games @ good group of 5 schools, a road game against a perennial B1G ranked team and a home game vs a top 5 program.

Ohio State @ Indiana - My wife is an IU alum, and her whole family roots for IU. Luckily, this isn't basketball so they barely care.

Games of the Week

Utah @ USC - How many spots will Utah jump for beating a 2-1 team coming off a 5-7 year? 6 spots?

Cal @ Ole Miss - Pac12 playing a lot of road games other conferences wouldn't.

Michigan @ Wisconsin - Wisconsin has played no one and looked great. Michigan is in turmoil. A win for Michigan and everything will be fine. A loss and you'll hear calls for Harbaugh's job.

Washington @ BYU - BYU should just join the Pac12.

UCF @ Pitt - UCF got FAU after the played OSU, now get Pitt a week after PSU. Playing teams at the right time.

Auburn @ Texas AM - Both teams guaranteed to move up.

Oregon @ Stanford - A Stanford loss probably kills them in the P12 North.

Notre Dame @ Georgia - I am fully expecting Georgia to win. Notre Dame will go onto to lose 3 or 4 more, but it will still count as a top 10 win for UGA.

Colorado @ Arizona St - 2 teams that ruined Nebraska and Michigan St, so OSU won't get credit for ranked wins. Shoulda just scheduled cupcakes.

You know I have no real reason to hate USC but I hope Utah just rips that ass like tissue paper. Maybe I just met too many people from California while in college and I got sick of hearing about how California is the best place in the world.

I hate Cali, so over rated, too much traffic, the people are annoying and their beaches suck.

I think UM is in for a long one today. Wiscy looks legit this year.

Those Wisconsin Dairy Boys up front are massive.

Michigan really cant defend the run lmaooo

Our offense is struggling and not productive?

Let's put a DT in at RB!

EDIT - yes, I know he's a former FB and Charbonnet is injured
