Man I'm sorry but I'm not a blind person who can't llook at circumstances.

Harbaugh being 0-5 is his fault.

But please with this AUburn win today like it says something amazing about Malzahn. They're at home, against Alabama's back-up and they had roughly 137 flukes go their way after their dumbass coach tried to lose it for them.

I'm guessing if MIchigan was playing against Chugonoff today they win too.

My point: it doesn't say anything bad about Saban that he loses to his arch rival every 3rd or 4th season. That means he wins more than he doesn't.

It DOES speak ill of Harbaugh that even when they get the breaks they can't fucking win.

Sabans reputation will take a hit though.
He got smashed last year against clemson.
He wont make the playoffs this year.
Next year will be ugly too and backup qb isnt really an excuse.

Urban won a title and beat Saban with a 3rd string qb.

Harbaugh gonna be putting out more nfl fliers lol

I just don’t agree with this.

Nick Saban has won six national championships and will be missing the college football playoff for the first time since its inception. He’s won five titles in the past ten years by dominating what is considered by many to be the best conference in college football.

It’s more notable that they’ve had a down year than anything, but outside OSU a few years ago, your typical team isn’t going to survive a season ending injury to their Heisman candidate starting quarterback.

I love watching Alabama get knocked down a peg, but his reputation as one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football is fine.

A coach can only lose so many consecutive years.
Those 6 rings wont hold him up forever.
Next year will be harder. We will see.

I agree with @Marcus ... Saban’s legacy isn’t taking any sort of hit from not making the playoff this year and losing the title game last year.

Hell, Urban is one of the GOATs and didn’t win a single playoff game his last 4 seasons at OSU. And only made the playoffs one of those four seasons. Two of the years didn’t even win the division title.

I‘m absolutely here for Saban and Bama not making the playoff, but his legacy isnt taking a hit. If anything, it’s pretty amazing this will be the first year in the six years the playoffs have been around that Alabama hasn’t been in.

Saban is past his peak. All great things come to an end.

Time for Day to take over.

Damn, I'm surprised this generated so much debate here.

I don't think this loss hurts Saban's legacy at all. I just think it's incredible he's literally never beat a good Auburn team, and only has a 10-8 record (8-5 with Bama) overall against them. I was stunned when I read it because it's pretty damn underwhelming just from a pure record vs Auburn perspective. And sure, Malzahn has gotten lucky as shit a couple times...but just win, baby.

It's not a *huge* deal or anything, more of a #coolstorybro
