It was kind of a joke, kind of serious. Reggie is a HOFer, but they do have similar games. I hope Windler learns to defend better, and I would be shocked if his rebounding doesn't transfer from college to 3 Rebs a game that Reggie averaged.

That said, Reggie is one of the greatest coming off screen 3-point shooters ever. I would be thrilled if Windler was 75% the player Reggie was.

Reggie had that Larry Bird killer instinct and shot. He could also talk trash but not like Bird. If Windler could develop into a lite version of Reggie or even Cheryl I'd be a happy Cavs fan.

I love wings that rebound like he does. Just think it's such an advantage. Helps you play smaller line-ups without getting killed on the glass as much. Felt like that's why RJ was so good for us in 2016--his rebounding from the wing. Windler's not the athlete/defender RJ is, but he's a much better shooter. Not trying to compare them as players, just pointing out how rebounding from the wing is valuable.

That was one of the major red flags with Reddish. Poor rebounder for his size in both high school and college.

I love the Tayshaun Comp because he was one of my favorite players in the league even though you could floss your teeth with his limbs. I see Windler having much higher potential to fill up the stat sheet than Tayshaun though.

I still see a better shooting, rangier Wally szerbiack... Wally was an extremely useful player and an all star one year, so that would be cool.

Speaking of Wally, he would have fit into the 2019 game so much better...would have come out of a college a stretch 4

Beilein said in his interview yesterday that everyone was taking the day off, but Windler asked if he could watch film with the coach. The coach also commented that basically all the young guys on the team were working their asses off. Including Cedi, Sexton, and Zizic. If those 3 really set the tone, maybe everyone reaches their potential.

Cedi, Sexton, Zizic, and Windler actually kind of work as a lineup and a set of complementary talents, on offense in particular. If they all got a lot better that would help, and none of them are good passers. In that sense, Garland kind of fits with the group, except for the Sexton/Garland defensive backcourt problem.
