21-3-5, > 50% field, > 40% from 3, 100% from line

I just don't get why people are so down on him. PG might be the hardest position to play and he's only played 101 games so far in his career, that's after 5 games in college! So at 21 and a 100 games in he's improved all across the board, 17 pts, 6 asst, 45%, 40% on 3s, 85% Ft. Not comparing him to any of these guys (Curry, Paul, but if you go look at most star players, they didn't become stars until year 3 or 4. It takes time and to me he's just getting started.

I am not hating. Love these last 2 games. Really. But we will level up the opposing guard play. Is FVV still on the Raptors? He is a great litmus test. Not a HOFer but a scrappy good player. Can’t wait to see Garland learn to stay even keeled against the next level up.

Most fans are impatient and want results immediately. Bottom line is that's a rare occurrence in the modern NBA, with a few exceptions each draft. We were spoiled by LeBron and Kyrie, but Darius is right on track with his development and starting to show real signs that he can play PG at a high-level in this league for many years to come.

Kyrie didn’t do anything without LBJ. They were a lottery team. He took a lot of shots, his defense sucked and he got hurt.

I don’t think there’s a Cavs fan that isn’t pleased with the young cores development.

I like the way his offense is developing, both as a shooter, passer, and game pace manager, but I'm still concerned when I see bigger guards bull their way into the paint and score over him. Maybe that won't be a problem when we have both Allen and Hart available.

Yeah, he needs to continue to work on his strength, but Jarrett Allen also gets bullied by bigger guys. I think the leap he has made from last year is pretty incredible. I was genuinely worried he might not have what it takes. He could not break the defense last year, and you have to be able to do that as a pg. He's come a long way. Still has a lot more to prove, but he has shown he is an NBA player and that he has a lot of headroom on his ceiling.

Bottom line his size is always going to hold back his development. I remember we had a discussion a few months ago about shorter players in the 80s and 90s not being able to play in this era.....well it’s the same in this era. Garland is a good player and I like his game but his size is a liability and playing next to another smurf isn’t helping his development. That’s why I said we need to upgrade one of those positions to a bigger longer version. We need either a legit 6’5 or 6’6 SG or a 6’3-6’4 PG.
If that isn’t possible then the Cavs MUST find a legit 6’7-6’8 SF that can shoot and create his own shot off the dribble! We must add legit size at 1, 2 or 3 spots

he was a 3rd year player playing on a tanking team what was he supposed to do?

They tried to compete that 3rd year. 33 wins that year roughly the same pace as this year.

I think it is the same thing. These 2 teas are pretty equivalent. I'd say this collection of talent is better. Kyrie was a better #1, but I'd say Collin has worked on the holes in his game better. Started much lower than Kyrie and has largely caught up in year 3 impactwise. Kyrie was still more skilled in his 3rd year, but Collin is very effective.

His help was a 2nd year Dion Waiters who hated each other, the biggest bust ever in Anthony Bennett, the corpse of Bynum who didn’t care about basketball and Mike Brown at the helm. And if I recall we were only a couple games out the playoffs I just don’t like how he is held accountable for that even if he underachieved that year. Collin doesn’t have have the talent as Kyrie

nobody to speak of taken after him has done much yet to say they made the wrong choice, but Garland is injury prone for sure so no matter what he accomplishes out there I won't be counting on him

Why does Garland continue to turn down wide open threes....I thought,he would be over it by now.

While,Sexton does need to take more three-point shots.Garland was drafted for his three-point ability.
