Rumors also speculated the undesirables Ronny was hanging out with was Gordon Gund's daughter. It would make sense has he was moved lightning quick that year.
Interesting & juicy....I hadn’t hear that one!

His moves and shooting touch are so smooth... No wonder Beilein fell in love with him... Hope he develops his body well, 1st impression have me thinking he has a CP3/Lowry body type... If he stays healthy he atleast would be a high floor guy even if he doesn't become a star player...

Really excited to see what he and Sexton can do offensively. If Sexton continues to produce from three then they could be splash bros 1.5

Sexton was so successful once Love came back getting to the rim, how are they going to stop him when he is the 3rd best 3 pt shooter on the floor at 40%? Until the end of the season the spacing was horrendous. We are going to see nice cuts and drives from several guys.

I was skeptical before, but Garland is really good at playing off the ball moving to open spots and is a fantastic spot up shooter. I didn't realize that was one of his strengths when drafted. So I think the only thing that will derail the backcourt is if either guy just holds the ball too much. They can both benefit from the drive and kick on the assists and the shot.

Beilein is really going to harp on ball movement, and Love and Larry both help that along with Cedi. I think they will bleed points, but it should be pretty fun as long as no one hogs the ball.

I still think the best long-term fit is with Sexton coming off the bench as our poor man's Sweet Lou. Start someone bigger (Porter eventually?) at the 2, then bring in Sexton in spurts for instant offense either to play alongside Garland or to spell him for stretches.

Yeah that would make sense.

It sort of depends on what position WIndler ends up being. Can he be a 3 if he puts on weight or is he a long 2? Can porter exixt without the ball in his hands? He can probably play both wing positions, but if he needs the ball, he is going to play that off the bench scoring role. If Sexton can't start, I imagine he will be traded.

Garland would still need to be better than Sexton, and that is less than guaranteed. I think people are probably expecting him to come in and be better than Sexton from day 1, and that seems unlikely to me. If he is, he has a shot at rookie of the year.

You “play” what you defend. Don’t see Windler as a viable option for 3s. But, if we’re gonna hemorrhage points regardless, I’d be fine with him out there guarding whoever as long as he’s getting play time.

Something like Garland-Sexton-Windler-Cedi-Love is hilariously small but would be crazy to watch on offense.

Reminds me of the infamous first day of the 1990 season which featured the immortal Paul Westhead's return to coaching in the NBA with the Nuggets against the defense-adverse Run TMC Warriors:

Check out the final score and the number of threes attempted. If I ran NBA TV for a day, I'd play this game with a roundtable discussion with Anthony "The Admiral" Johnson and Tim Hardaway, describing the day nobody cared about defense.
