Man, I have a good feeling about this kid. That is one of the smoothest-looking strokes I've seen come into the league in a while. And, it looks so effortless with a quick release off-the-dribble, coming around screens, spot-up...

Couldn't be more excited to see a rook.

His entire game is smooth. He's really aesthetically pleasing and that's rare for young guys. I'm so pumped.

I think Darius could end up being the best player in this draft. Then add to the mix a lot less pressure along with a coach who loves his game and lobbied for him he has huge potential.

Just wait until you see his court vision that I saw from high school tape. He has very good court vision, you will see why I was saying Sexton is a SG not PG when you see him operate)

It should be very fun watching Garland develop, along with Sexton too ofcourse.

I agree. I thought Sexton looked a lot more comfortable when he and Knight were in the backcourt. It’s not a knock on his game but he seems better when he isn’t the sole playmaker.

Reminds me of the infamous first day of the 1990 season which featured the immortal Paul Westhead's return to coaching in the NBA with the Nuggets against the defense-adverse Run TMC Warriors:

Check out the final score and the number of threes attempted. If I ran NBA TV for a day, I'd play this game with a roundtable discussion with Anthony "The Admiral" Johnson and Tim Hardaway, describing the day nobody cared about defense.

Only 6 threes hit in a game with a combined 320 points. Different times.

If he becomes a better version of Lou Williams, I would consider that a win for the Cavs

I think his ability to pull up way beyond the 3 pt line is going to have fans loving him. But we will also probably be frustrated if he's not much of a finisher at the rim.

Hope he's dedicated to learning how to work spin and angles off the glass, since he's not really a high riser.
