Guys wtf?!

FA starts in about 24 hours(though it’s been going on behind the scenes for weeks) and there’s not a thread anywhere in this section to cover it from both a league wide and Cavs perspective(not gravedigging back 2-3 pages to find on)

So let’s get this stuff rolling! Sunday could be a very fun day.

If they need more space for their Horford offer, we can off JR for Moore plus a future pick

If they strike out on Horford(and they NEED a smart, offensively gifted big with range and leadership) create a deal for Love that works for both sides

The Cavaliers picking something at the free agency should be getting someone that doesn't mess with our young core minutes and maybe some one that could grab some Love's minutes at the 4

How is this allowed? Adam silver is so soft.
It’s not hard to figure out.

Some players are getting max no matter what.

There is no negotiation necessary.

The players research these teams, talk to. the players on the teams they’re interested and through back channels tak with team officials

Since you are allowed to meet in person at6pm Sunday, those meetings have to be scheduled.

So when you see Kemba set a 6pm meeting with BOS or Kyrie a 6pm meeting with BKN, there is no guess work.

The star players are picking the teams in as much as the teams are picking them.

Now the change that would be meaningful and make sense is to simply have FA begin one week after the Finals ends(where the feat usually is) and then have the draft occur AFTER two weeks of FA has occurred.

That would allow teams to draft based on what occurs in FA and since the backchannel FA recruiting and convos are already happening, no need to wait til 6/30, 7/1 for FA

This is interesting because Minnesota doesn’t have the cap room to sign Russell and I really doubt Brooklyn would go along with a sign & trade. So, Minnesota perhaps has deals lined up to clear cap room, which is where the Cavaliers could potentially come in.
