2019 Game #9 | #1 Ohio State vs. Maryland | November 9th, 2019 @ 12 PM EST

Not helping their case, but a win is a win lol

The Big 12 should be allowed nowhere near the CFP unless Baylor somehow finishes undefeated.

But Clemson should? With the pathetic ACC.

But Clemson should? With the pathetic ACC.

At least they're still undefeated.

I said earlier in the season that there's no way an undefeated P5 conference champion should be left out, and I've gotta stand by that, even with a team like Clemson who has a pathetic SOS (41st last I checked and playing NC State isn't going to bump that up).

Oklahoma's loss to Kansas State (who then got upset today by Texas) and their pathetic defensive showing today is enough for me to keep them far on the outside barring absolute chaos.

Georgia has no business sniffing the top 4; that South Carolina loss is absolutely fucking awful. They lost to fucking App State

Well they came into the week ranked 6th and two trleams ahead of them lost.

I dont see any other 1 loss team.

Utahs loss to USC doesnt look good. And theyve beaten no one.

Oregon perhaps.

The only good option would be to give way more respect to Minnesota and put them in the top 4. No way Bama stays with that schedule and now with a loss to the only good team theyve played.

If we're being honest, nobody from the Big 12 or the Pac 12 is one of the 4 best teams in CFB this year.

They would get absolutely slaughtered in the playoff.

I’ve been an Oregon proponent for a minute. Everyone discussed the Auburn loss and rightfully so but they were down 3 offensive starters and only trailed for a total of 9 seconds. It’s like the OSU loss to spend State in 2016. But I agree the candidates are scarce.

At this point I’d have them ahead of any one-loss SEC. Agreed about Utah’s loss to USC; Oregon just absolutely blasted them.

Forgot about Baylor but it’s almost impossible to see them winning out

So there is no doubt Minnesota moves up, beating number 4 Penn State, and it was not that close..

There are only two more teams in the AP 25 that are undefeated, Baylor, and Minnie. Baylor took three overtimes to beat unranked TCU..

So I think Minnie has earned a jump beyond Baylor, possibly to single digits. They play Wisconsin and Iowa, both ranked teams, so if they win, they have a better SOS than Bama and should be in the conversation.. But the only sure path in is to beat OSU. They don't have the defense to Stop the bucks, so the would have to be effective offensively. Who takes that bet?

I see it for this week's rankings as LSU number 1, followed by OSU, and Clemson as the probable top 3..

But Clemson is the clear second tier. They have had two close games with unranked opponents, and only one more ranked team, Wake Forest to play.

If you make the argument for Georgia, you have to argue Auburn also.. who beat Oregon and has one loss to LSU. Thier loss to Florida makes them look bad, but they play Georgia AND Alabama, so if they win out, they have an argument.. Georgia could win out, but would still have to beat LSU.. Then maybe they are in..

Tbh Alabama's defense has been suspect all year and they hadn't played anyone good.

I think its 3 teams and then everyone else this year.

But if I were on the committee I'd have Georgia 4th.

Minnesota would hop way into the top 10 but they still played an awful non-con and juuussssttt squeaked by some really bad teams early in the year.

Same thing with Baylor.

If Minnesota beats Wisconsin and Iowa and then loses a nail biter to OSU? I can see making them top 4 and being a 2nd BIG Ten team in.

If OSU just blows everyone out I think they end the season 1. Which to me is kinda huge as I think this is a 3 team race. Avoiding LSU/Clemson in the first game would be big.

Whoever gets 4th, whether it's Utah or Oregon or Oklahoma or Alabama would be a far easier game imo.

Sad no non-power 5 school is undefeated. This would be a year one of them could have made it.

Oh and speaking of Minnesota I didny realize Antoine Winfields son played there. Pretty cool.

Hes one of my favorite players of all time.
