Line-up looks much better with the addition of Puig, and hopefully Reyes will lock in down the stretch.

I'm not sure Mercado should be hitting 2nd, but I also don't see big changes occuring this late in the season barring injury.

Franmil needs to get his shit together.

Very true, he's still hitting the ball hard when he makes contact, but he was already a high K guy in San Diego with a 17.3% swing and miss rate couples with a 26.3% K-rate, and the problem has only been exacerbated since his arrival to the tune of a 25.8% swing and miss rate with a 36.6% K-rate.

I think I saw @Kevalier questioning the lineup construction with Allen/Mercado in the 2 hole.

I agree that neither of them should be in that spot at this point, but I think the problem we have right now is that without Jose, we only have Lindor and Santana as our decisively above average bats. Everybody else borders on average overall, although Mercado/Allen/Naquin/Perez have been mostly bad over the last month.

Kipnis makes the most sense to me to plug into the 2 hole right now, but I know he's been a whipping boy in the past.

Lindor
Kipnis
Santana
Puig
Reyes
Naquin
Mercado/Allen
Perez
