2019 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's not Freeman's power that is concerning, it's his walk rate.

He's a guy whose value, right now, is at the mercy of BABIP. That makes him a fairly volatile prospect.

I like him but I'm taking a cautious approach.

I still wouldn't say that makes his floor that low.

I think it'd be safe bet to put him somewhere from Joe Panik to Placido Polanco to Dustin Pedroia.

Oh I think he’s gonna be a good MLBer. Not sure of the overall upside yet.

Just trying to explain why he’s more in the 4-8 range of Indians prospects than in that upper echelon.

Hankins pitching tonight for the Captains in game 2 of their playoffs. Through 3 innings he has given up 0 runs, 2 hits, 7Ks.
Was at the game yesterday and the Loons were hitting the ball all over the place.

Finished up at 3.1 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 3 walks, 8 Ks

Is there any prospects to keep an eye on when it comes to the Lake County team. I see a lot of players hurt on the actual roster and I see a ton of names I am unfamiliar with, so who should we all pay attention to in the box score essentially? @EdMonix11 @Derek

Players currently with Lake County (ignoring the obvious guys like Valera, Hankins, Naylor, Oviedo):

Jose Fermin, SS- 20. I imagine he'll start with Lynchburg next season. Good defensive player, 28 stolen bases this year, 1:1 K to BB ratio, hasn't flashed much power

Marcos Gonzalez, SS- 20 next month. missed most of the season. Considered at the time to be the best of the Indians' 2016 International Signings

Lot to like in the current Mahoning Valley crop, who figure to be in the LC mix next year: Rocchio, Bracho, Carlos Vargas, Espino

Is there anything you guys can tell me about what Tom has done this season to make his numbers are drastically different than what they have been in he past? There is no way he is the same guy he has been since his Akron numbers all said he has to be doing something since his hit, walks and HR rate went up in Akron and with AAA juicing the ball in a sense, his numbers stayed up there as well. Do you see him being added in the off season to the 40 man since he is Rule 5 Eligible?
