That's a lot of pre-arb players..... And that's also a very creative way, and really the only chance, of potentially signing the one big non cost controlled player on that roster to a longish-term deal. Unlikely, I know, but weirder things have happened.

As a Jew, I am offended.

Suck it up buttercup!

Is Johnson close to being ready?

For Johnson it goes like this, is he probably in the physically and mentally ready part? Yes, but the Indians organization usually wants hitters to have a certain about of ABs at AAA and he hasn't reached that number. Plus I have a hunch we will go and acquire a RH bat before the trade deadline, so I think Johnson will be added in September/once the off season starts. If we don't acquire a RH bat/veteran bat, then its likely we will see Johnson sometime in the second half of the season. That is my personal prediction on Johnson at the end of the day. Right now what is likely stopping him from getting on the MLB club, is the fact he bats from the left side. If he batted from the Right side, he would have been called up already.

I personally feel if Lindor isn't extended before the 21 season, him and Ramirez (if he finds his swings again), will likely be moved, and so will Kluber and likely Perez. We also have control of Santana for that season as well, so if Lindor is extended and he has a good 2020, we will keep him for 21.

Though otherwise, I feel like you have a good projection of the roster. The bench will likely be Luplow, Clement, Plawecki/Haase, Allen to round out the roster type of thing.

Though has everyone given up on Zimmer returning to full health next season?

Salazar is supposed to start tonight for Akron (fingers crossed), and Jones makes his Debut for them tonight as well! Lets see how they do!

Since you guys have been educating me on our farm system, this has been what ive been thinking for awhile. Gotta sort the pitching out since there is so much tied up in our top 3 right now.

Bauer and Kluber will both likely be off the books in 2021, but at that time we may try to extend, Clev, Bieber, so our main three on paper would Carrasco, Clev, Bieber then have two of the best of the remaining talents we have in the system. In the end we may end up with the same amount of money tied into our starters, but we should have equal production at the bare minimum. We have setup a very good future pipeline wise for the starting pitching and I dont expect it to stop anytime soon.
