2019 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Karinchak hasn't been particularly sharp since returning to Columbus.

8 walks in 3-1/3 IP. Only throwing 53% strikes. ERA near 19

Still striking guys out at an elite rate though. 24 K/9 in this tiny sample.

Was throwing 65% strikes pre-injury

Still doesn’t look 100% healthy.

Zero concerns with Karinchak.

Just needs to get back into form after the injury.

He's going to be pretty good.

The injury just may have pushed his MLB debut to next season rather than this season.

Do you remember when the rule changes come into place. I believe they past the 28 man roster in September. Do you know if it takes into effect this season? If it did it would effect guys like Karinchak, Johnson etc maybe getting a September call up.

Next season. Full time roster also expands to 26 men. Pitchers will have to face at least 3 batters or end a half inning

I am surprised the player association agreed to the fact you now will not have LOOGY and ROOGY spots on a roster at the end of the day. Also why change it to 26 after its been 25 for so long?

I am still waiting to see if they bring up guys like Johnson in September since he is proving it at AAA right now.

They agreed because it adds 30 more mlb contracts

Kluber allowed 2 HR in 1.1IP thus far.

Meh it is his first time throwing in a real game in months.

However, it is alarming that his velocity is low per reports.

Topped out at 90, but he was mostly 91-92 pre-injury.

Shouldn't be long before he gets that back.

Is there any scenario where they don't pick up his option for 2020?
I'd still be extremely surprised if they didn't, but with the young guns emerging, coupled with payroll concerns/Kluber decline, it might be greater than a 0.1% chance.

That’s a good question, if I knew 100% that Carrasco will back to normal next year, and with the young guns proving they belong, would it be better to put that money into somebody like Puig or somebody Equal ?

Nope, short of catastrophic injury from now until then.

Not unless he has a horrific injury that is going to keep him out for all of 2020

They'd be incredibly stupid to do so. Plenty of teams out there would give up assets for Kluber, if the Indians don't want to pay him
