And, Yandy goes yard to lead things off... Fucking Tito
Cannot win every trade but this move did always puzzle me.And, Yandy goes yard to lead things off... Fucking Tito...
Tito's fault for slashing payroll
I’m thankful he loves Cimber thoughHuh? Come on, man. It’s been well documented that Tito wasn’t a fan of Yandy to the point that Yandy had to corral Lindor just to get a meeting with the manager. The reason Tito always gave was that his defense wasn’t good enough or that he didn’t take enough infield practice. This isn’t hindsight either since I was among many involved with the #FreeYandy movement in ‘17 and ‘18.

It's disingenuous to view the trade in the microcosm of simply Bauers vs Diaz
Sure, finances played a part in the deal, but it’s clear that Tito didn’t want Yandy here based on his mishandling of him here.
I think that's downplaying it. They used Diaz primarily to save $5 million in the deal in a summer where they slashed payroll.
And if I recall correctly, Lindor was involved in that meeting because Yandy doesn't speak any English. But take it how you want I guess
