I know it is a little early but lets all talk about/start throwing some names out that could be targets at the trade deadline for the Indians. My projection will be a veteran bullpen arm and a veteran OF that bats from the right side.

Personally I am just going through teams right now and a list I can see, but it is way too early to tell the market, just want to start some ideas out there and hear from you guys!

Pitchers:
RHP Mychal Givens -Baltimore
RHP Seunghwan Oh - Colorado
LHP Mike Dunn - Colorado
LHP Will Smith - San Fran
RHP Sam Dyson - San Fran
LHP Tony Watson - San Fran

Position players:
INF Martin Prado - Marlins
INF Miguel Rojas - Marlins

Honestly that trio from San Fran are guys I would keep an eye on, all three have been effective and they aren't owed a lot. Dunn also has good numbers away from Coors Field when healthy, so he may not be expensive if Perez struggles.

Outfielder is a much bigger issue than bullpen to me. I'm not letting last night's result effect my thinking on the pen too much. They have four solid arms and Clippard should provide another. That's probably enough to piece meal it together for now.

But when it comes to the outfield, I think Naquin is absolutely horrible and desperately needs to be upgraded. CarGo could be washed too.

Martin is playing every day and is raking RHP right now, but really shouldn't be in there against LHP.

Finding another outfielder is critical to me.

Tito is a guy who likes to do match ups so if Perez flips I am sure he would like another veteran Lefty. I am okay with going for the best guy available too as well. Right now bullpen is a need to me since I want another proven guy in there.

Not going to disagree with the OF situation at the end of the day. Luplow and Mercado are both killing AAA pitching , but I would like a veteran RH bat who can play CF on the roster, but the question is who?

I kinda want a DH. Find me a big bat that can fit in the top 5 of our order, and then I'm good with the faster, more defensive OF's like Martin, Zimmer, Allen, Bauers, etc manning the grass.

I think we'll for sure add some bullpen help. No idea who though. I hope we try internal options soon though. Clippard and Salazar when they're healthy, as well as some young kids like Hentges and Karinchak.

I'm just not focused as much on splits necessarily. Just get find that can hit/pitch and deal with the platoon issue later on.

I would MUCH rather get a LH bat that absolutely mashes RHP than I would the opposite because that's the bigger side of the platoon anyway.

I feel like we will end up getting a RH OF bat for the stretch run to help offset how many lefties and switch hitters we have in the lineup. Kind of like what we did with Guyer a few years ago. Luplow really is the only guy for that in house. He has always killed AAA pitching but hasn’t been able to figure major league pitching. It would help get Martin/Naquin out against tough left handlers as well.

Wit the defense and leadership I don't mind Martin almost everyday with the occasional left hander rest. That said, not sure about either of the other 2 positions and 100% agree our OF needs a trade boost.

I'm not arguing they don't need a RH bat to fill that Guyer type role from 2016, but again that's the 30% playing time side of a 70/30 OF platoon.

I prefer them to address the 70% side even more than 30% side by replacing Naquin or CarGo or possibly both.

To put it another way...

If my options are a Naquin/RH hitting trade acquisition platoon in RF or LH hitting trade acquisition/Luplow platoon in RF, give me the latter every time.

Watch the Reds (Puig, Gennett, Kemp, Dietrich) Mets (Frazier. Lowrie), Pirates (Dickerson, Marte), and Tigers (Castellanos) for bats. For pen arms, watch the Reds (Hughes, Hernandez), Marlins (Romo), and Giants (Watson, Smith).

The Indians and Reds could really be great trading partners.

I like the Arms from San Fran honestly with a good track record and free agents at the end of the year so they may want a return for them.

Romo hasn’t been good so far, so we need an upgrade not an equal or downgrade honestly!

This is going to sound funny, but what would it cost to get EE back in Cleveland if the Seattle team is out of the running? He actually almost fits what we need for the middle of the lineup and Bauers has shown he can play a solid enough LF, so I don't mind him being out there everyday if worse comes to worse.

With injuries to Clev and Kluber long-term, do you see us going for an arm here soon like aka a Tomlin, who can both start and come out of the pen?

Some names that come to mind:

Bartolo Colon
James Shields
Edwin Jackson
