2019 Mock Drafts

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If the CB or LB class was stronger this year I'd probably buy more into the idea of drafting more based on fit, but considering there's realistically only 4-5 players collectively at CB and LB that warrant round 1 status it's really hard to swallow going that route unless they are unquestionably the best player available.

We also need a blocking TE as we just let ours go, Hockenson if there would be a fantastic weapon for the Browns.

We have 4 picks in the first 3 rounds, they can go LB and CB anywhere with those picks and I am fine, stick to your draft board

I think that's the problem for me, because I don't even know that it's worth spending a pick on LB or CB outside of the 4-5 players. Ultimately, I am in agreement that it's probably better to just stick with BPA, but I seriously wonder whether it's worth it to look for LB's or CB's after 17, because I think all the actually impactful ones are gonna be gone when by the time 49 rolls around.

No matter draft grade, there are always gems to be found. Who would of that Avery would be as good as he was year 1. He was impactful in the 5th.

Yeah, at this point I don't think the Browns are a disaster at any one position. One area I felt the Browns lacked in previous attempts to build the roster is gifting a position to a veteran or drafted player. Thinking back to Hard Knocks, a few people beat the drum about a lack of competitive spirit for positions on the team. Some of the country club mentality didn't make the team - like Carl Nassib and Danny Vitale - but some hung onto a roster spot for a while. It's nice that the Browns have a formidable starting group on both sides of the ball, but the draft and depth free agent signings are going to be very important to create competition for roster spots.

My newest mock.

Thoughts?

With Robinson on a one-year deal and Hubbard a likely cut victim after next season, OT is probably our biggest need going into this draft right now.

With one of our first two picks, let’s hope the BPA happens to be a tackle.

I think we've had tackle highlighted for a while, and there are some good options this year.

Don't forget about Desmond Harrison. If he can get strong enough to handle a bull rush, he could be an elite pass blocking LT.

Sure, but with the salary we’ve taken on since then, finding a cost-controlled solution at one of the tackle spots has become even more important.
